I think I will go with the Future on that one, maybe it’s my lack of Knowledge of 1015 (which would be 1000 years in the past) or just my morbid Curiosity of the Future, if it was any other Time in the Past, I would probably be more interested in going there!
I also love Would You Rather but I always do a version where both options are awful and weird so maybe I’ll add one later like that
If I go a thousand years into the past (on earth) I can find out how accurate the bayeux tapestry is to tue battle of Hastings, and if Harold really got shot in the eye
(Although the future is very tempting. Can I go there next?
So, I’d definitely travel with Eleven and, like Katarina? I don’t know who my least favourite companion is.
Oh and…
How can I be the only one who would happily face the Zarbi solo and do this:
Somebody hasn’t met Jeremy Fitzoliver or Thomas Brewester yet, I see
Would you rather?
- Write an episode for TV with everything you want in it, but it’s universally hated
- Write an official but obscure expanded universe story with things you’re meh on but it’s a cult classic
I’d rather 2000 years in the past, but I’ll take 1000 as I love history and couldn’t say no to the opportunity to learn lost information about the medieval period. Also because 1000 years in the future isn’t any more likely to mean another planet than 1000 years in the past is, and if I am going to have a futuristic adventure I’d want it to be nothing to do with humanity.
I have an ego, it must be fed.
No, I haven’t.
I feel like it would be funny if I write an expanded Media story with Characters that I couldn’t care less and hear people rave about it for the years to come . TV Is tempting but I am too scared by TV Who Fans
All I can say is: Prepare yourself
I don’t care if what I write is hated! If I get to write a DW episode for TV, I’m officially in the big league! I’d be part of the canon forever! I’d sit next to Robert Holmes, Terrance Dicks and Steven Moffat. And I’d get to have all the stuff I wanted in it. How could anyone not want that?
I’m going into the future because I am SO curious how the world will look like then
If I wrote a really popular EU story, I’d probably get a chance to write another EU story, which could have exactly what I want in it! Also EU > TV
Also, you could write for an older Doctor compared to the TV Show where it certainly is the current one (not to say that’s bad but writing for a classic Doctor is very tempting to me!)
But if I could write a story with everything I want in it, wouldn’t that also include past doctors?
I’d definitely go into the future to see what its like, and 100% write an obscure EU story, they’re the best kind!
Writing for EU means I could write for any Doctor, any companion, so that’s a big plus. However, if I can get anything on my TV episode, it’s a multi-Doctor with Paul McGann back as Eight… but then people will hate it, so maybe not.
Here’s an age old would you rather..
- Work for UNIT
- Work for Torchwood
Also this is definitely my ego speaking, but I just think no episode of TV could ever be completely universally hated. If nothing else I could feed the Gallifrey fans with some visuals
Oh, yes, good Point. Maybe I am overthinking this Scenario a bit much, was more talking about being able to write for an older Doctor in the lead! But yeah, you got a Point!
And ohh the UNIT or Torchwood Question, hmm depends on the UNIT, won’t work at Torchwood since I know I will die
