Oh, this is a hard one. Going with Torchwood 'cause it would be crazier + maybe I get to meet Gwen. But that sweet sweet UNIT salary… UNIT is probably the correct choice.
UNIT but only if it’s 70s era UNIT and Liz Shaw is there. Otherwise neither of those organisations are even remotely compelling for me
Can I work for Counter Measures instead?
Now I’m thinking about it… Can I work for PROBE?
This is actually a really good point!! Don’t care if everyone else hates it, I want Gallifrey on TV!!!
Who would you would work for: niche edition:
- PROBE
- Counter-Measures
I would rather travel 1000 years into the future because
- We already know some of what happened 1000 years ago, but we could never know what’s going to happen in 1000 years without time travel.
- I do not want to be exposed to all of the disease and lack of hygiene from 1000 years ago. I’m a big fan of modern medicine and indoor plumbing.
We could even put Narvin in there … Or Leela. Or Brax. Or Romana… Or all of them
Even if the story isn’t liked, at least the gallifrey fans can finally make proper amvs with it
Counter Measures, especially if it’s as chaotic like in that second Episode of its first Season
Haven’t even listened to counter measures yet, but based on remembrance of the Daleks, they seem like they would be really fun to hang out with
I think I’m probably more likely to have deeply traumatic experiences with the ICMG but like Allison and Rachel would be there (but then, Liz and Patsy…)
Actually that’s so true, I’m changing my answer the prospect of onscreen Leela/Romana doing exactly what I write is too exciting to ignore
Easy, UNIT offers better benefits and pay. I also don’t have to live in Cardiff.
Seems like anyone can get a job at UNIT, even me? I’d be going up to that Vlinx thing all the time asking it to make me coffee.
I am not a coffee machine sir.
Oh right, tea then? No? Can I have a twix?
Constantly & deliberately mistaking it for some fancy AI Alien vending machine.
Idk, are you a minor? (Don’t actually answer that)
Oh, we are so going to the future first so we can fix all my aches and pains and whatnot, and then we’re going to the past, and you know, everywhere else in time and space.
I know a lot of people want to travel to the future, but for me, it just raises too many sticky issues about predestination.
Predestination & free will? A tricky one.
Yes! I’d write the worst anniversary multi-Doctor story ever!
