Doctor Who Will Continue (Series Three)

I want it at least 2 hours earlier.

I think we’ve had the discussion before, I think for me the time was better whether or not certain people agree. Anything’s better than midnight, or was in my case 1am.

I think nothing was wrong with it, it wasn’t broken and didn’t need fixed, it worked for nearly 2 decades as it was.

This news has made me so happy! #RIPDoctorWho

Me too!

It has really been stressing me out worrying about the future of the show.

Also, if it’s in 2027 then there’s every chance that Ncuti can stay because he would probably appreciate being booked up in advance in the future, not something every actor can guarantee!

Go do your Broadway show in America then come back to Wales for a few months please :folded_hands:

Exactly this! It’s not as if he has been announced to be the next Spiderman or something like that. He is still an actor on the rise but needs regular roles.

Can he fix Ryan Gossling as a guest star? Maybe as the master!

We should probably take this with a pinch of salt until it’s confirmed by the Beeb. But it’s definitely great news if true!

Of course, we should, and it is great that you pointed this out. But if all the DW is dead, people can use their “leaks” as fact and make the show’s reputation worse. Then we can use this to spread hope.

Oh that I’d love to see!

Not just because he would rock that tight outfit…

Wait you mean to tell me the BBC isn’t going to get rid of it’s biggest IP. I’m shocked.

Yes, that is what I’ve been saying over and over again, but it always feels good to get confirmation!

Now we just debate who will be the Doctor :eyes:

Certainly will be interesting if Disney decide not to continue. What negotiations will take place for overseas broadcast rights? I can imagine all overseas territories will want the opportunity but has the relationship been tarnished somewhat with what may possibly have been a short-lived Disney deal?

Perhaps Disney could, if they do get rid of the deal, still keep distribution rights? The accessibility for those outside the UK has been great with this era.

I don’t mind a delay if it gives RTD and team more time to deliver us another great season.
Lots of who content elsewhere to keep busy in the meantime

I think that would mean a renegotiation. Currently they have streaming rights tied up with a funding deal. So if they want to keep distribution. Will they want to pay less? It would certainly be a new contract.

I think that’s gonna be the case.
Disney probaly want the content but don’t wanna fund it anymore

Time to get the accountants & lawyers!

If they did that then BBC should stipulate that they have to have the entire catalogue, otherwise it’s still so disjointed.

Yeah I might make a decent dent in my Big Finish backlog in 2026

True. I will say if Disney do pull out, it will be further annoying given it was likely because of them we had the numbering restart :sob:
