I just watched the latest episode of Doctor Who: Unleashed, and I have to say—I really enjoyed it! I’ve always been a fan of behind-the-scenes content, and this show is one of the better examples out there. The work experience segments are fun—even when they’re a bit silly, they do a great job of showing just how much effort and passion goes into making Doctor Who. It really gives you a new appreciation for the people behind the scenes.

I used to watch the behind the scenes clips for series 8 and 9 without realizing that there were Unleashed episodes. Doesn’t help that I’m in the US where I can’t access them. I got to see a few on YouTube and enjoyed them a lot. I wished they didn’t stop them after series 6. They’re a lot of fun and provide good insight into what goes on behind the curtains

I don’t know why they’ve carried on with the separate behind-the-scenes videos on YouTube now that Unleashed is on YouTube as well. It’s a bit weird that there are two behind-the-scenes shows for one show. But I’m not complaining, as the YouTube one has slightly different content!

They also don’t put the Behind the Scenes videos in their own playlist, the way they do Unleashed, which is a bit annoying, since I just download all the Unleashed ones from the playlist to watch at my leisure automatically…

Oh, that’s annoying! I get that they had the YouTube series for international viewers last year when Unleashed was only available in the UK. Maybe they are trying to show that Unleashed is the main one and so put more effort into putting them into playlists.

Could be. Behind the scenes does get added to a playlist, but it’s the same one as all their preview/next time videos and shorts and “get to know <x>” videos. Essentially their misc. season 2 playlist.

The YouTube version is vastly superior to Unleashed, in my view. I’ve given up with Steffan larking about serving chips and gravy and pushing buttons.

I love Unleashed and always look forward to watching it! (Haven’t seen the latest one yet).
Steffan is adorable and really funny. I enjoy the work experience segments. The only bits I don’t always enjoy is when he asks random crew questions like “have you ever seen a ghost?” That seems like filling time for me.
My hunch would be that they made all these before finding out they were going to share Unleashed worldwide and instead of scrapping them they just decided to release them as before!
I wish they just merged it all into one episode really, as sometimes there is overlap.

I’ve really been enjoying Unleashed as well. It’s great to see all the hard work they put into the show and how so much of it is practical effects!
