Waiting for a Rani Takes on the World release that’s Rani Vs The Rani
I posted some other Rani-related stuff here:
Got Rani on the brain today!
With all the talk of Rani from SJA, I took a quick look at the actresses wikipedia page, just because I was curious, though in retrospect, if audio’s still coming out, they are still around.
Did spot one thing there I wasn’t expecting, though.
Anjli Mohindra, who plays Rani, is in a relationship with Sacha Dhawan?
(Also, played Millicent in the Elden Ring demo, but not the final game. And played the Mechanoid Queen in Daleks! and Queen Skithra in Nikola Tesla’s Night of Teror. Definitely gets around…)
See, it could be The Rani and The Master together after all
I do think the Gods of Ragnarok theory has a chance to be true, they were even referenced in The Giggle!
Mrs Flood could always turn out to be The Chief Clown i suppose
I think Mrs Flood is The Flood from Waters of Mars and 15 is gonna be The TLV2 /j
This is how we get Tennant to return! Tennnat for the Sixteenth Doctor!!!
I saw someone speculate about The Well that water is found at the bottom of wells and this could tie into some Mrs Flood reveal. If episode 3 is water, episode 6 is sky/air (Mrs Flood hiding in the sky) maybe episode 8 is land?
The Unholy Trinity - Mrs Flood - water / air / land.
The War Betwen the Land and The Sea…
Bit of a weird cut, we don’t get to hear what the question was…
More from Newsround: Watch Newsround - BBC Newsround
Hmm… We will see!
I don’t think that this means that much. I think that RTD could say that and then confirm season 3 the next hour.
My guess is that we will hear nothing and then episode 8 will end with:
Doctor Who Will Return In 2026
That makes zero sense to me. He’s preparing the narrative for if/when there’s a short break. He could’ve swerved the question altogether, but chose not to. The latest we’ve heard is “nothing is happening - still waiting for a Disney decision.” Now this on top. He’s softening the blow for a potential break.
Yeah, but RTD’s most annoying thing is that he likes it when people discuss stuff. The thing is, he will never give new info in a random interview, and as @shauny said, this is cut weirdly, and we can’t hear the question.
BBC Newsround isn’t exactly random, and it appears to have been at the press launch. I assume the interviewer asked the same question of Ncuti and Russell - standard when we see clips of multiple people being asked the same question, we see the question and then it cuts across to different answers people give. If RTD was asked a different question, it’s hard to imagine why on earth they’d cut it out. It tags on the end of the Ncuti clip for a reason. (It’s also BBC Newsround, so it’s not like they’re out to cause misinformation or generate misleading headlines.)
If he had been asked “do you think the show will live forever?” or something, I just don’t understand why they’d cut that out. To me, it seems clear he was just asked the same question they gave Ncuti.
He also could’ve simply swerved the question with a “never mind about that, look at this, we’ve got a brand new series on in a few days and then a big marvellous spin-off too!”
