Love the fact that Rylan will only have been recognisable to UK viewers of the trailer and to everyone else he’ll just be ‘some guy’. For someone who started out as a bit of a joke on X Factor, he’s done very well to reinvent himself as a TV host, he has presented parts of Eurovision and does seem like a pretty nice guy

I love a similar thing about the Eurovision episode. It is very European. It is nice that they still do that and I hope that we get many references to the Eurovision history.

There was talk about these being Dalek ships when the first teaser trailer dropped. What do people think now?

They look similar but not exactly like the classic Dalek ship design. But that might be intentional…

Well, the Eurovision episode is supposedly near the end of the run, so I guess there are shots here from all over the season. Maybe not from the finale though (but who knows?).

Incredibly, I still haven’t watched the trailer yet.

I’m really hoping it ignites some excitement in me because even though I did like more of Season 1 than I didn’t, the finale and not enjoying Joy to the World have put a big dent in my enthusiasm, maybe even more than I’d realised because usually I’d have devoured the trailer instantly.

I’ll watch it later today I’m sure.

In honesty, that doesn’t really mean anything to me. But I’ll still watch it, I’m a fan. I’m just saying I’m surprised by the fact that I haven’t yet when usually I’m all over a trailer.

Speaking as someone who thought S1 (2024) was one of the worst seasons of Doctor Who ever. The new trailer did get me interested. It has some Flux vibes for me. Seems like a more interesting relationship between Doctor & companion (even though the mystery box companion trope yet again doesn’t feel very inspired) & we do have more diversity when it comes to writers. So hopefully, amongst the visual spectacle some better writing & more interesting stories.
