Impossible, there can’t be too many!
Yes there can. There has been too many already…
I hope that Ruby is in it. She would love that setting!
I’m really not a fan of musicals only exceptions are buffy and magicians, and the reason i didnt like devils chord is cause of that twist at the end song which was just bad,so im kind of skeptical about this episode, idk.
I doubt the rumoured Eurovision episode will be an adaptation of Bang-Bang-a-Boom considering who the co-writer of that one was… (although I’ve seen comments about it being Juno Dawson’s episode and that being one in the eye for said writer due to his…‘views’…)
As for Gatwa leaving, I hope not but I suppose if everyone else thinks it’s true (another fan I was talking to today in real life also thinks he’s going) I suppose I’ll need to accept it. It’s a huge shame if true because I think he’s been great.
I don’t want to sound skeptical but this series might be the last series we get until like 2027 or 2028,so like lets enjoy it the most as we can.
I’ll be disappointed when “no more gap years” turns out to be just talk, but unfortunately gaps are just how it goes nowadays.
He should’ve gone the other way and said: "Fromsaid, “From now on, we’ll have 3-4 year gaps between seasons!” and then we would’ve been positively surprised when they kept delivering new seasons every other year!
Can’t fault his optimism, and he has at least given us yearly Who across 2023, 2024 and 2025 (and potentially 2026 if that’s when the spin-off airs). I feel as though they hoped they’d get another season commissioned off the back of Season 1, but it hasn’t and now there’s a delay imminent. But it’s still been nice to have semi-regular Who after the last decade of everything feeling so stop/start.
I feel like even if Season Three is delayed, they could fit in a Christmas Special and still have no gap years…
Randomly remembered a VFX scene in The Stolen Earth that RTD wanted to do but that they couldn’t afford. What if this could finally be done. Space Eurovision with crowds and crowds of aliens and monsters.
Most likely.
That would be nice for sure, considering we might not get one this Year (at least I assume this to be the Case)
I’d say it’s still a gap year if an entire year only has a single episode, especially one that airs in the last week of that year.
Agreed. If specials count then we’ve never had a gap year right? At least one episode of Doctor Who has aired each year since 2005 unless I’m forgetting
I agree. Especially when you look at 2019 for example. We had 1 episode on January 1st, and then nothing until January 1st the year after.
Same. I’ve wanted another more traditional “end of season” regeneration ever since 2005.
Give me a midseason one like Tenth Planet or Caves of Androzani.
I really wanted to watch Doctor Who in 2019, but there was nothing new that interested me…Ended up watching Torchwood and it consumed me…
