I enjoyed it too. Wasn’t expecting a sequel to this story in DWM in 2024!
Is this a joke, or was it really the same character?
(Haven’t read the Extortioner)
It is hard with the DWM comics because you don’t know in advance when they are done. But if it is done now it will probably be up soon. I can fix the info on Tuesday if no one has done it before then.
Pretty sure the green guy is supposed to be the great grandson or something of that character.
Wow, can we have more references to other comics like these in DWM strips please?
Almost a month since I last pushed the DWM agenda. Haven’t done anything Doctor Who related recently because uni is killing me, but that won’t stop me:
Have any of you dipped into DWM comics recently? If you didn’t you should!
The thing I’m doing at the moment (well, have been doing for a while) is reading DWM, and the comics, concurrently with the episodes they were released alongside as part of my wider marathon. This is of course massively slowing me down!
My next episode is Mummy on the Orient Express, so I’m close to reading Capaldi’s first comic story.
I’ve only been buying DWM since 2007 so haven’t had it incorporated into my marathon for the classic series, but last year I was reading lots of the collected volumes to fill in the gaps. I’ll pick that up again this year some time.
I finished reading 4-Dimensional Vistas with the Fifth Doctor and thought that TV Series at the time would never have enough budget to do something similair. Action-packed story but I still think it’s pretty good. Artwork near the end was absolutely stunning
So you’re reading The Love Invasion!
Let us know what you think when you’ve finished!
Yeah needed something short between meetings
It was okay with some great moments like the panel above (submitted the quote). 3.5/5
I… didn’t love it.
Haven’t read The Love Invasion yet and that’s why I’m not engaging in this conversation like a crazy guy
Overall the 9th Doctor strips look like the weakest era we ever had in DWM, but who knows, it may surprise me
The art is great. I read the second one as well and thought that it was kind of cute. They are nothing groundbreaking but to be honest I think that I enjoy them more than the 9th Doctor Titan stuff.
The only one I really like is The Cruel Sea.
The Cruel Sea was great! It feelt like something new and fresh. I must read more DWM comics I think that the smaller scale suits me more than Titans earth ending stuff.
Reading the last 9th Doctor comic now.
The last one was the weakest in the set. Not for me at all, and I like the Shakesper code.
