Doctor Who Crossovers You'd Like To See

Is this an in-joke or something that I’m missing? Because I totally remember Red Dwarf having aliens in…

There are no aliens in Red Dwarf. All the other creatures are human made, or originate from Earth.

Oh no, that opens so many problematic cans of worms the Doctor would have to end their entire way of life.

Pokémon are friendly, sentient, intelligent animals that the humans capture, lock up, force to fight, and eat? :no_good_man:t2:

(This is just lighthearted fun, I enjoy the Pokémon games, but find the messaging very odd!)

They only had Simulants & GELFS (Genetically Engineered Life Forms). Basically RDs way of geting around the no aliens rule.

Ok! I think I need to rewatch because I only ever saw it when it was originally aired, and only sparingly (and I was very young)!

The idea of a crossover with Warhammer 40,000 has been living rent free in my head for ages - the Pantheon of Discord specifically. It’s such an inherently fantastical setting where Gods and Monsters frequently meddle in the affairs of mortals, so they would fit like a glove. I could see them as something the Emperor managed to seal away back in the early days of earth only for them to re-emerge in the 41st millennium due to meddling from either Chaos or incompetent imperials on Terra.

And this is a setting they would all thrive in. If the Giggle was apocalyptic in the 21st century, imagine what it could do to the humans of the 41st millennium - a paranoid, xenophobic populace already reliant on technology and screens (imagine the Spice Up Your Life scene on Guilliman’s flagship!). Or the Trickster, who delights in causing chaos through changes in the timeline averting or worsening the Horus Heresy. And don’t get me started on Sutekh - the Chaos Gods can’t take over one galaxy, he can wipe out the universe in a day!

I’ve always liked the idea of a Doctor Who/Quantum Leap crossover. I’ve not really thought through the details of such a crossover but the two series feel like a good fit to me.

I mean the audio Gods and Monsters did something similar where a huge battlefield was actually a giant chessboard.

On the subject of Pokémon.
Are the Pokéballs bigger on the inside or do the Pokémon get squished when they enter them?

Attacking random animals you encounter and maul them to near-death, then enslave them and force them to fight other animals, unless you have more than six then you just imprison them on a random guy’s computer… Pokémon is a well weird concept :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I unironically had a dream where Red Dwarf became official Doctor Who canon, and this website had to be updated so you could rate every Red Dwarf episode too.

Pretty sure there was a comic where 11 mentions meeting Arnold Rimmer but I haven’t read it

“Doctor Who” and “She-Ra and the Princesses of Power”?

Yes, sounds silly, but when you know the She-Ra lore, it is definitely science fiction, and honestly exactly the type of setting the Doctor would show up in…

Incidentally, from the Red Dwarf Extras:

Also, an alternate take from the Red Dwarf episode “Marooned” has the TARDIS in the Blue Midget hanger if you look closely enough.

while it is not known how caught Pokémon perceives their time inside their Ball, the device is said to replicate a “Pokémon-friendly” environment that is “designed for comfort”

Sure, we’ll take this animal from it’s natural habitat, friends and family, but at least it has a personal spa it can relax in after it’s Gladiatorial exploits :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Why is my first thought to this that they should do a Pokemon version of Jurassic Park/World, where it’s Pokemon inside a zoo instead of dinosaurs, then they all escape and cause havoc?

Slightly unrelated, but on the topic of Call the Midwife, I used to have a flock of hens, three of whom I named after CtM characters - Evangelina (who was funnily enough quite grumpy), Cynthia and Monica-Joan. 'Twas all fun and games until we came home one day to find that Monica-Joan had been murdered by the others; I had no idea hens were such a vicious bunch…
