I thought it might be nice to have a place people can share doctor who craft stuff. I’m not usually a crafty person, but I found these doctor who paper dolls and I absolutely adore them. It took a long time, and two mini rolls of double sided tape, but I made all of the ones that have been posted so far. They remind me of funko pops, but cuter (and are free!)
Love this thread. Thanks to @tardis-technician for setting it up! Those paper dolls are excellent! I’d like to make a contribution of an equally crafty nature.
My eldest son’s partner is something of an artist (she works in set design and is keen to get into DW with Bad Wolf). She took two things I love (my gorgeous dog and DW), combining them to do this picture for me at Christmas.
Just normal paper! You’re supposed to be able to use glue, but I found that double sided tape works way better (and is a lot less messy!). I basically had a mini double sided adhesive roller, a tiny pair of scissors, and the eraser side of pencil for when I needed to press things together (mostly for doing the hand bits of the dolls.) You can find tutorials online for putting them together. I’m a visual person, so I had to use videos.
I made some zines. The Blond one is inspired by the Frank Ocean album of the same name. I actually created the Boulangerie one a while back, but now he has some friends.
Even though I’m not able to distribute them anywhere (as is a zine’s traditional purpose), I had fun making them. It’s like having my own little set of trading cards.
A paperceaft Doctor and Bessie i assembled a while ago, i made it with a template that i slightly modified, i do think the template could still be better perhaps one day i’ll fix it properly
Heres the template in case anyone wants to try it, i think it would work better on paper cardstock/pasteboard (not sure what the name in english is, sorry) but i used a paper of a weigh of 120 and it holds up just fine
