This story is like 99% worldbuilding and 1% story. We’ve had loads of characters that haven’t done anything, and they’ve described every nook and cranny of the place.
I’m not so enamored of us being bad guests. We’ve been told something is off limits, so that’s what we’re doing. Okay, well, that dies sound like the Doctor, but still…rude!
The Corinthian Project - Chapter 45
Martha asks what the silver sachets actually are, wondering if they’re just packets of seaweed. Flux explains that if you take one, you can breathe underwater. Martha thinks he’s joking, but both Flux and Marion insist they’re real—though still experimental. The twins admit they’ve only tested them in the swimming pool, not in the open sea, but they promise the sachets work, and the effect lasts about ten minutes. You look to the Doctor for guidance, but he simply smiles and shrugs, leaving the decision entirely up to you.
- If you still want to try the sachets, turn bravely to 69.
- If you’d rather use the more familiar-looking scuba-diving gear, go to 64.
10 minutes isn’t really long enough.
I don’t want to drown ![]()
How do you know if there’s even air for that long in the scuba tank though???
Well okay I would presume there would be at least more than 10 minutes in the scuba tank otherwise what are we even doing?
Reaching a bad ending of the book where we are dying horribly?
You wish…
But I want danger! And 69 is an exciting number, so we shall find danger behind it!
The Corinthian Project - Chapter 69
You need to reach the wreck of the Corinthian cruise liner without being spotted. Flux has only three sachets of a prototype liquid that allows underwater breathing, so you and Martha take them while the Doctor stays behind. After drinking the liquid, you enter the airlock, which fills with water. At first, it feels strange, but you soon discover you can breathe underwater. You and your companions swim out toward the wreck, feeling surprisingly natural without diving gear.
- Do you want to take a look at the bow of the wreck? Turn to 90.
- Or the stern? Turn to 72.
The Doctor when the sachets run out halfway through the swim and we all drown: oh no :( anyway marion do you want to avoid awkward questions about how you got those sachets by running away to see the universe with me. i just got an opening for a new companion
The Corinthian Project - Chapter 90
You swim around to the front of the wrecked ship. It’s an eerie but amazing sight—rusted metal, seaweed, and shellfish covering everything. You try not to cut yourself on the sharp edges, suddenly realizing that blood in the water might attract sharks… which is definitely not a comforting thought at this moment.
Then something brushes your ankle. When you try to pull away, it tightens. Looking down, you see your foot is tangled in a rope! You manage to free yourself, but something is tugging on the other end of the rope…
- Do you want to follow the rope through a hole in the bow of the ship? Turn to 71.
- Or ditch the rope and check out the stern? Turn to 72.
It seems like very little is happening yet so let’s follow the rope and see if there is a baddie on the other end.
I think we should go round in more circles ![]()
Sharks? Sharks! Something interesting please

The Corinthian Project - Chapter 71
Summary
You follow the rope into the wrecked ship. Inside, it’s eerie and partially collapsed — the decks have rotted or been removed, leaving a clear view straight down to the seabed. You reassure yourself that everyone must have escaped when the ship went down. You discover that the rope was being tugged by some moving pumping equipment inside the wreck. You signal Martha to take a look, and Flux gestures urgently to remind you that the underwater-breathing sachet’s effect is running out.
Swim back to 83.
The Corinthian Project - Chapter 83
Summary
You return to the Wet Dock and talk about what you discovered underwater. It looks like someone is surveying the area around the Corinthian Project for oil, which makes no sense since the project is supposed to be about renewable energy, not fossil fuels.
You head to the Hub to meet Scripps and find out more about the devices you saw at the Bio Domes. The Hub is full of computers and camera feeds monitoring the entire building — even though you didn’t notice any cameras when you arrived.
Scripps is there with Jolla, the Chief Engineer, who has a stern and unfriendly air. Just as Scripps is about to explain things, Jolla spots something on a monitor: someone has been out to the old Corinthian wreck, and a hatch on the deck has been left open. He is furious.
Now you need to decide what to do.
- To confess, turn to 74.
- To bluff, turn to 25.
I will take a break during the weekend and continue this on Monday.
In the blurb of this book we were promised ‘some very strange things going on’.
So far it’s just some moving pump equipment ![]()
You expected a CYOA to have a cohesive and compelling plot!?!
This is such a dull book. I haven’t even felt the motivation to read the actual chapters ![]()
I think confessing would be more likely to cause trouble then bluffing, since everyone is apparently board with set ups.
The Corinthian Project - Chapter 25
Summary
You pretend you know nothing about the open hatch on the wreck. Scripps suggests that Jolla check the memory card from the wreck’s camera to see who visited it. As Jolla begins reviewing the footage, you, the Doctor, and Martha exchange worried looks. Martha signals toward a doorway, and the three of you slip away before Jolla can spot you.
You hurry past the Wet Dock and hide inside the nearest Pod, aware that Jolla might already be monitoring things from the Hub. A beam of corridor light spills into the Pod, revealing a dark, circular living area. Martha tries to turn on the lights with voice activation—unsuccessfully—and complains about modern controls.
As you look around, you realize you’ve accidentally entered Jolla’s personal Pod. This might be an opportunity… or a big mistake.
- To stay and explore, turn to 76.
- To exit, turn to 79.
