Cosplay Parade

I’m kind of tempted to do Chicago this year…

Narvin is always a solid choice, as is Romana. And Seán and Miles are absolutely lovely <3

Part of wants to say seven but gosh I don’t wanna imagine the sheer stress it might bring to make a cosplay for it, so unless you already have one, I do think narvin is great choice and/or romana!

Yeah seven seems like too much of a commitment but it would be awesome

Yes, do! (Provided you can afford it)

Exactly that, yeah! :100: Plus I am pretty sure you have a lot of folks here who have or known somebody who cosplayed narvin or romana to ask for advises, unlikely with 7 for the most part (although I am probably wrong)

Literally just bought fabric today to make Narvin even though I do not know how to sew (yet. I believe in myself and my hubris. How hard can it be)

Also everyone stop talking about Chicago I literally just looked plane tickets you are far too tempting

I get flight benefits so travel really isn’t an issue… but it’s not so long after Timelash which I am going to, and I’m a little concerned about being able to get the time off on the Sunday because it’s so soon after Thanksgiving. Though I suppose I could just fly back on the Saturday… much to consider

didn’t even know there was a con in Chicago…there is no way I’ll be able to go though

I think narvin would be fun!

Yeah I know how to sew by hand but i know for sure I cant get a full cosplay done in three months by hand so I’m probably gonna have to try and learn how to use a sewing machine :handshake:

Sewing machine is easyyyy you just have to dive in. And if either of you want any advice or tips or help at any point, please feel free to just message me and I’ll do what I can <3

The craft foam is kicking my butt a little but I am feeling hopeful about it. Pleased with how this has turned out though :)

Hello, everybody!

I’m planning to try and cosplay Drax (who would’ve thought), but I realized that I don’t even understand what is it he is wearing. Tardiswiki doesn’t have a description as it usually does for characters’ clothing.

Could you please help me identify what is this he is wearing? I couldn’t find a good shot of him full-length, but I remember that he is wearing pants of the same material

Looks to me to be a jumpsuit, possibly made out of cheap poly vinyl or pleather. I think if I were to try to make it, that would be the fabrics I would look at first in my considerations.

It looks to be quite a generic pattern too, nothing weird in the cut and it’s a simple enough collar. The red and white bands seem to have been stitched on top out of a similiar material to the jumpsuit, but I would probably choose the lazy option and use bias tape or ribbon for that.

Thank you very much! :3

Also the tape would be authentic - I mean, back then some of the VFX did look like it was made with tape xD

Another of my favorite Peri outfits done! This was a nice easy one to put together, though could use some improvements that I might get to in the next couple months. Have one more Peri cosplay in progress that I should have all the pieces for in the next few days and then I’ll have enough for every day of Gally One next year so I’ll probably take a break from doing new ones until after that to save some money.
