I’m pretty sure that we have a winning option now, so I read it and… well… stuff happens!

Last choice: the Doctor don’t risk turning his back on the stranger
The Doctor, dismissing threats with his usual bravado, is abruptly interrupted by a sinister movement behind him. Turning, he faces a decayed, corpse-like figure that was once human. The creature lunges, its steel-trap grip immobilizing him. As the Doctor questions the rider’s macabre ally, he’s struck from behind, plunging into unconsciousness.

Last choice: No choice
The Doctor awakens in a damp, windowless underground chamber lined with barrels and crates. Slouched against a wall but unharmed, he confirms he hasn’t regenerated by checking his “attack eyebrows.” Across the room, a dark passageway leads away, and a caped man with a ponytail stands at a makeshift table, his back to the Doctor.
- If you think the Doctor should challenge the man
- If you think he should remain silent and continue to observe the man
- If you think he should try to sneak out of the chamber unseen
Oooh a triple choice
The 12th Doctor should always challenge “the Man”
When the DOctor turned and met the zombie and there was no choice at the end, I was convinced that this was it!
Luckily, I was wrong and we got to choose from three options instead!
How was it that madness was descrubed? Doing the same thing over and over expecting different results? Let’s change tactics and observe a bit!
Definitely.
This feels like if you observe him, he’s just going to hit us with the classic:“I know that you are awake, you know!”
So I rather the Doctor speaks first.
Everytime I chose, it turns out I’m with the majority. I’ll never get that ‘This is a bad idea’ badge
I feel like this time we can learn more by observation, get a bit of a handle on the situation first
I want to observe the man and see what happens next!
Shhh, I can award you that badge in secret if you ask nicely
Don’t tell Shauny!
We may have said this before, but I feel like saying it again. The choices in this one feel so much different than the choices in the last one. We’re actually considering how we want the character to act. Feels very different.
Wait what badge is that?
I also feel like the author of this knows how to make it fun by switching up the chapters with one that did not have a choice and one that had three. It is a great way of keeping it interesting.
They are inventing badges for me to create… I haven’t agreed to it yet
I suggested it a while ago. Hope @shauny get around to make it
At this rate we’ll need the badge of honour for dedication to forum memes badge
Anyway we’ve escaped failure so far, I think lying low might be a good idea for a bit
we’ve escaped failure so far
The thread of failure is making me want to be very cautious.
I bet the actual failure is very difficult to do, and very signposted!
I assume it’s also just a way of making it so multiple options can lead to the same place, but yeah, three options here is great!
just a way of making it so multiple options can lead to the same place
Oh we should read this book twice to see if we end up having the same ending anyway!
Last time, confrontation lead to zombies and getting knocked out.
Tim for some silent treatment.
