Every Doctor Who story is designed so that the Doctor doesn’t lose. It doesn’t mean the story has to be boring!

I also gave into the masses and said let’s talk - seems no point ducking for cover now!

Well, I decided to be the contrarian this time. Won’t make a difference.

Nice thing about these books is that you can visit them multiple times, go back and make the other choice to see where it will take you.

Night of the Kraken - Page 40

Last choice: the Doctor tries to keep the rider talking

The Doctor tries to defuse the tension, casually making small talk with the rider, but the man remains suspicious. He warns the Doctor not to try anything with the TARDIS and hints that the Doctor is too late. Growing frustrated, the Doctor questions the rider’s cryptic words, but the rider coldly advises him to leave and never return if he knows what’s best for him.

What do you think the Doctor should do?

  • If you think the Doctor should take the stranger’s advice and leave while he still can
  • If you think he shouldn’t risk turning his back on the stranger

I suspect that leaving now might end the adventure, and we’ve already started talking with this hard-headed bugger, so we might as well press him a little more. This is Twelve after all!

Ok that’s three times we have been given a chance to leave…

Maybe the adventure ends if we don’t!

But I don’t like the sound of turning our back on him now so in for a penny, in for a pound…

Yeah, we won’t complain if the adventure ends now, becauise we’ve been warned!

Definitely the doctor won’t take the advice. Not seem that type. But I really wonder, if the doctor just fly away, will tardis bring him back again?

I don’t think this book would drag us back to the same plot line no matter the choice this early on. Knowing the Doctor, he doesn’t take sensible advice. He laughs in the face of sensible advice! There’s no way for me to leave while I still can lol

I did have a sneaky flick ahead to one of the two options…but I’m saying nothing…

Feels like we are asked to run and hide for the third time. I will stand my ground!!!

I Will Not Run

Okay but it’d be really funny if we just ■■■■■■ off lmao

Twelve would simply say: “Okay then…”, do this…

…and then turn and leave.

The End!

One could argue that sometimes the Doctor likes to do the unexpected…

Besides, I’m sure Jon wouldn’t let us leave this early in the story, would he?

Imagine a TV episode in which the Doctor encounters some really interesting thing, but because someone tells him to leave he’s like:“Yee, you got it!”; F’s off and the episode is about another completely unrelated thing.

I keep talking about how much I want a monster anthology series, and the idea of that being the opening of one of the stories is hilarious

I feel like just leaving would really rather spoil the momentum of this story.

And by spoil I mean just end it.

I’d rather keep going if it’s all the same.
