Bookshelves

It was bad enough when all the books were the same dimensions, and I kept waffling between transmission order, publication order, alphabetical, and spine color.

But now, with the general book size nearly an inch bigger in each direction, and with tons of books of even more varied sizes (non-fiction and charity releases especially), I’ve pretty much had to settle on size being the first criteria for organization.

And I have to constantly shift everything, with new Targets going in one area, most others (Icons, Lethbridge-Stewart, etc.) going somewhere else, and various others going even more places. It’s quite the challenge.

I’ve had to take a second cupboard into use now to make room for my Doctor Who books and comics

A shelf full of Doctor Who books…

…and the Eragon books, what are they doing there?

They are the ones I’m reading for my 9 year old

Also a copy of “The Neverending Story” (my wife only has 8 books - that’s one of them…)

Here’s my bookshelf, behind the Skulduggery Pleasant books I also have a set of PJO, HOO, and MCGA books.

Not sure if it’s apparent, but I really like Doctor Who.

You do? What are you doing here then? :winking_face_with_tongue:

It’s not, but I have such a keen sense of observation that I was able to discern a few faint but tell-tale signs.

(Hint: if you focus not on the bookshelf, but on the contents of the bookshelf, a pattern starts to emerge)

I see! I was fully focused on the bookshelf. It is a Billy from IKEA I think.

You’re supposed to look at the bookshelf and its contents? I was busy staring at this scary figure in the corner…

Ebooks for me these days!!! With a smaller house it just made sense. :ok_hand:

Mostly to allow easy adjustment of the font (bigger!) - I’m not getting older!

And so I can have an e-reader in every room, Lol!

My books are always available ANYWHERE. :desert_island:

This isn’t all my Dr who books… just the ones I like to display on my special Dr who shelf. The rest are on my hard copy shelf and stacked under my tv! Haha

My Doctor Who library. It’s growing very slowly. But it’s growing.

Love from Türkiye.

That random comic is this one

The TNG ones are all ones I found randomly in thrift stores since I’m not far enough into it to search them out. And Beyond is just the dvd, which is fine seeing as the only bluray player i have is an xbox

Gah, missing Consequences really sucks for the shelf

(Also feat some of my board games, Stuff of Legend, Stuff of Legend Live Programme, and a couple booklets from the Museum of Classic Sci-Fi, one going quickly over a lot of their collection, one delving into the history of the Pyramids of Mars props)
