Big Finish: The Companion Chronicles

You are in for a treat, over time I do think this range’s adapts itself greatly the first two series have their hits, but nothing mind-blowing, as the range goes on, they really find some great ways to go about certain stories!

I’d love to do more of these, this years set was really great.

The last Set before the newest one is quite good, possibly my favorite out of the Boxset Entries so far! Highly recommend that one

Ooh thanks for the rec! I’m hoping that when Powerwash Simulator 2 drops I’ll get back into the swing of things with my backlog. I’ve not been listening as much lately bc I’m sick to death of the first one :sob: I’ve played 600+ hours…done the same levels probably in the double digits now

Ah, hopefully it will come out soon, or you are able to find a different game for the time being! And of course, hope you enjoy it when you get around to it! :hugs:

Are The Rocket Men and Return of the Rocketmen fairly stand alone or should are they connected to any other Companion Chronicles in anyway?

They actually form the base listening for several other audios here and there including 4DA Requiem for the Rocket Men. I do believe they are stand alone in the CCs though

What are some good Zoe Heriot CCs?

Second Chances!! It’s the end of an arc that runs through Echoes of Grey, The Memory Cheats, and The Uncertainty Principle, which are more up-and-down (most people like them); but I listened to it without that context and loved it. YMMV on that one!

And I adore The Prints of Denmark.

YMMW?
Post must be at least 12 characters long.

Your Mileage May Vary

They act well enough as standalone since the companions never overlap between them. Requiem for the Rocket Men also follows but that doesn’t rely on the other two as the background necessary is provided there.

Tactics of Defeat from the second box set of Companion Chronicles is an interesting one. It features Zoe, but the main character is Ruth Matheson from Tales from the Vault (which has Zoe in it in some capacity), Mastermind and The Screaming Skull from Worlds of Big Finish.

I’m really hoping the new Legacy of Time: Companion Chronicles set doesn’t need Legacy of Time as a prereq (although it probably will I’m just kidding myself :sob: )

The majority of the legacy of time stories were standalone with just the link that something bad was happening to time.

So im sure youll be fine!

That’s great to hear! After seeing the cover my hype for this new set multiplied by like, 100. I’ll probably wait a few days just to make sure though that it’s accessible.

Oh so very excited for this. More Noonan and Troughton as 1 and 2, Culshaw as Delgado, who I loved in

(Warning: don’t click on this if you’ve not seen Delgado’s master in Big Finish, outside of the Time Lord Victorious one.)

the end of River song series 9. Great twist! I loved him in that, so really excited.

And of course more Naomi and Cross! I still haven’t listened to UNIT Nemesis, as I’m slowly working my way through the UNIT stories.

It’s been niggling me for a while that I have a bunch of the single releases sitting on my shelf untouched so after my next couple of Monk story listens, I’m going to tick off the following releases:

The Selachian Gambit
Binary
The Time Museum
House of Cards
The Scorchies
The Apocalypse Mirror

Then at some point I’ll move on to the box set era (although I don’t have all of those I have a few).
