Audio Club Extra - where next?

I love Dalek Empire as much as the next guy. It’s a really great look at the Daleks without the Doctor there to fight them. But especially with the recent passing of Christopher Benjamin, I’d be very remiss to not praise the utterly delightful Jago & Litefoot and call that the best option. Not to mention with the upcoming regime coming to us here in the states, I’d much rather some spooky Victoriana escapism than a war epic.

Now now children, are you all going to have to go to Scandi isolation corner?

No one was blaming you…

Although now you mention it…

Yet…

But that’s the curse of the Scandinavian - we are forced into a corner simply for existing!

This time.

And you literally tried to start an argument between @MrColdStream and me by spreading vicious rumours about me being an arsonist.

It is nice that we have our own little place

Fortunately, we are intelligent enough and have built our 73 Yards palace out of very fire-proof material, so we don’t fall for such lowly tricks

Are we non-Scandi’s allowed to see this?!?

No.

As long as you don’t hear the context of what we spoke of just there… :eyes:

@Tian @MrColdStream should we rename that thread to “Scandi Isolation Corner”?:wink:

Fair. I’m the opposite. I love Victoriana.

I believe in democracy, & Dalek Empire Series 1 is winning.

Dalek Empire has won the original poll for out next Audio Club Extra adventure but the recent passing of Christopher Benjamin has prompted the suggestion of bumping Jago and Litefoot into first place.

So a second poll just to gauge interest in this. If we do J&L Series 1, it seems wise to begin with The Mahogany Murderers, the Companion Chronicle that launched a behemoth of a spin-off.

If we do choose to do J&L first we will definitely do Dalek Empire afterwards.

I think I’d be fine with either of those, but voted for J&L because it gives me an excuse to finally get around to the Companion Chronicle (and hopefully) finish that Range this year :sob:

Nothing against Christopher Benjamin (bless his soul), but I’m not particularly excited about Jago & Litefoot. I could end up being wrong, of course, and I will listen to it if it wins the poll.

Jago & Litefoot is kind of a sleeper series imo. It’s not something you come into expecting to love but the characters are so delightful and the stories are so much fun that you can’t help but absolutely fall in love with the series.

I loved it straight away, it tickles my proclivities!

Right, I’m closing the poll and Dalek Empire has still won out so in a couple of weeks will we start Dalek Empire.

Part 1: Invasion of the Daleks is available on Spotify (the rest of Series 1 and 2 are too):

Series 1 and 2 are available as a download set from Big Finish for £26.99 (individual episodes are £3.99 each so it’s a decent savings).
