I’m hearing this as part of Matt Smith’s speech on top of the Church Tower on Trenzalore
“Love from Gallifrey boys!”

I’d vote Dalek Universe over Dalek Empire.
But with the options available, I’ll vote River Song.
I like the River Song range but the first box set isn’t very good. The first story particularly is a real snooze for me.
I voted for Bennie as, out of these options, it’s what I’m most interested in getting into. I definitely have no interest in more Dalek stories. I think as @shauny said, a book club extra with the novels lined up to match the audios could work well.
Of the options listed, only Dalek Empire and Jago and Litefoot have stories that are available for free. This is one of the main reasons I vote for Dalek Empire.
Just to say that, for Benny Series 1 there aren’t any books tied in. That only kicks in later in the run.
I’d also be loathe to combine audio and book clubs simply because people read books at a much different, usually slower, rate than listening to audios.
(And by people, I mean me )
Oh yes definitely, it takes me much longer to read a book.
If Dalek Empire is free, we should choose that. More people will join in.
Dalek Empire is cheap enough for me to get, so why not that?
It has to be Jago & Lifefoot doesn’t it? Given the passing of Christopher Benjamin. I’d just love & hope everyone falls in love with this range like I have.
Not that I’m trying to use emotional blackmail to influence voters lol.
I really couldn’t get into the J&L stuff, I just don’t really vibe with them. I listened to all the eps wkth Leela and that was enough for me
Sadly I’m sort of in agreement. I know people adore J&L but they just don’t quite do it for me. My favourite set, so far, was easily Series 5 where they were stranded in the 60s.
I am (slowly) going through the J&L seasons. I’ve heard the first six seasons (+ the 2 stories with the 6th Doctor and the Mahogany Murders)
The first season is a bit slow, but I loved the second one. They really switch it up between seasons so no two really feels repetitive.
I would love to have an audio club about these two Infernal Investigators, but I kind of think it show be a while in the future after we’ve reached Talons in the TV Club. Just my two ører (why would I say cents, I’m Danish, we use Kroner and Ører )
I think partly for me it’s that the Victorian setting doen’t do anything slash actively irritates me, which is totally a me problem but yeah. I would be interested to see other people loving it, but I don’t know that I could get into it
Well, you could just convert the cents to Ører and say “my 15 Ører instead” and look fabulously smart
But what if I didn’t mean Euro cents?
Pushes glasses up nose
Well, I actually assumed you meant US cents, which is what I went with. The saying is, after all, in English and the UK doesn’t have cents, so the American cents is the next logical step.
@shauny can we make sure off topic posts about Scandinavia don’t count towards the karma leaderboard. It just seems like cheating…
Ah, I assumed Euro cents because two of those equals 15 ører these days
@shauny can we also make sure that any post Delta makes about Scandinavia doesn’t give karma as well then?
I think negative statements like this one should lower ones karma!
