I have an idea for the celebration now. I shall complete one story from each main Doctor in the revival (9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15) today, and it should be stories from all different mediums - TV, audio, comic, short story, game maybe.
This is where I will turn to you - which stories should I complete for each Doctor? I already decided on the comic A Confusion of Angels for 12, because I’m currently reading through those comics. I’m also thinking maybe one of the BBC Audios for Ten (I’ve had them waiting for a long time) or Technophobia.
I could see that one, too, or if I was doing two parters, The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances. 9 may only be one season, but isn’t lacking in good episodes!
If it were me, my picks for 9 and 11 would mostly deliberately veer into the expanded media because the expanded media stuff is just that little bit less familiar by default to me than the TV series. For 13, 14 and 15 I’d stick TV because I haven’t dipped my toe in as much of the expanded media.
9th → Auld Lang Syne
11th → Broken Hearts
13th → Power of the Doctor
14th → Wild Blue Yonder
15th → I think my favourite so far is 73 Yards the more I think about it but he’s barely in it so I’d go Rogue.
Oooh, I like this list. I was actually thinking about Broken Hearts (or any 11/Valarie story really, because I want to relisten to all of it now that it’s done and dusted).
Probably going for Auld Lang Syne for 9, I remember it being good. And Power for 13 is a good choice!
Still thinking about what to do for 14 and 15. 14 probably has to eb one of the specials, WBY is my favourite. For 15, I could go for Space Babies and then just keep going with the season so that I have it rewatched before S2…
