I love the Time of Angels/Flesh and Stone two-parter. I think it does the Weeping Angels really well and the River stuff was so much fun to rewatch when Iâd learned who she was.
Very surprised honestly that Iâm currently the only one who has chosen Vincent and the Doctor, even if itâs very early in the poll. Itâs the only story in this series I would really give a 5/5 to⌠and even then it has âproblemsâ.
Basic Answer, but I will go with Vincent and the doctor for now. Not the biggest Fan of said Series, but hey it does have some other great Stories (Beast Below, Amyâs Choice, Eleventh Hour)
A really good season. Probably Moffatâs best. Hard choice between Vincent and Eleventh. I chose Vincent.
I think Vincent is the best episode of Series 5, though my favourite is Eleventh Hour. Vincent and the Doctor is a beautiful episode which I think does a good job at humanising Vincent as a person with troubles, and that ending where he sees just how beloved his art is to people always makes me cry ugly tears . I think the Doctorâs comment to Amy at the end of the episode about how despite them not âsavingâ Vincent in the end, they still showed him kindness and gave him a bright day in a dark life is very real and very important.
I like how Eleventh Hour is my favourite, yet I yapped about a completely different episode . Eleventh Hour is just a good, fun episode with Matt Smith in his element. The Doctorâs âBasically, runâ scene gives me chills every time, idk I just adore Matt Smith and the Eleventh Doctor and I think Eleventh Hour is one of his most Eleventh-y episodes.
I was between Vincent and the Eleventh Hour but I chose Vincent and the Doctor.
I love Victory of the Daleks, and I will fight in its corner anytime.
Soooo hard to pick there isnât one I donât love. Best series <3
How to choose between The Eleventh Hour, the Angels two-parter, The Lodger, The Big Bang, The Pandorica Opens and Vincent and the Doctor?
Well in the end itâs easy because The Eleventh Hour is sublime!
I thought i was alone in thinking its a top 3 revival season
You are not. It is second on my list, just a little behind S04.
Im not a tennant guy so I never got the hype
I love all of Matt Smithâs seriesâ - even 7!!
Itâd be Time of Angels and Flesh and Stone for me, but I do prefer part 1 due to the palpable dread towards the end, and with the mystery of it all.
Despite popular opinions, I heavily dislike Vincent and The Doctor, and found it incredibly dull as a kid. I still donât really understand all the hype it gets beyond its representation of mental health struggles. Doesnât help I donât care all that much for Vincent van GoghâŚ
If not for Time of Angels/Flesh and Stone, itâd be Amyâs Choice for me. Beautifully nightmarish and creative
Today marks 15 years since Beast Below aired on BBC One,to celebrate,Iâd like to ask every each one of you what do you think of this story,do you think it aged well and do you think its good, personally i love it and think its very underrated?
The Beast Below is underrated. I havenât watched it in a long time but I remember enjoying the atmosphere, the characters, the whole vibe. I think Moffat is too hard on himself with this one.
Top 10 justified crashouts, I love this episode, itâs probably one of my favourite first trip in the TARDIS episode. Honestly, Matt Smith completely nails the role of the Doctor in this episode. Itâs quite surprising to hear the Doctor speak to a companion with such venom, heâs so upset and is lashing out at everyone around him.
I love love love Beast Below, I think itâs charming and lovely and warm and I love it <3
I think that âThe Beast Belowâ and âThe Fires of Pompeiiâ are the best first trips for a companion. They both mix consequences with fun perfectly.
