First TV story: the first one I have any real memory of is Parting of the Ways but I must have watched through 2005
First audio: A Lucie Miller, maybe Blood of the Daleks
First DVD: Series 5 the first three episodes
First con: hard to remember, maybe Birmingham Comic Con
First actor: Paul McGann and I was sooo starstruck :star_struck:
First cosplay: ever, it was Loki, of the DW variety it was Andy Pandy Sarah Jane <3

First TV story: I legitimately have no idea as to what TV story was my first, but it was probably a Nine, Ten, or Eleven story. The first episode that I ever watched as it was airing was The Return of Doctor Mysterio
First novelization: I just finished Rogue a few days ago!
First audio I heard: if non-Big Finish stuff counts, then it’s the SJA audio exclusive story The Thirteenth Stone. The first Big Finish audio I heard was “Here Today” from Rani Takes On The World: Beyond Bannerman Road
First issue of DWM I bought: I bought some special editions or bookazines as a kid, but the first normal issue I bought was issue #607 at Gallifrey One
First DW-only convention I attended: 2025 Gallifrey One
First cosplay: I did a Ten cosplay at Gallifrey One this year.

First TV story was Rose but I don’t remember watching it.

First novelizations was Dr Who and The Cybermen, I loved it. I just watched the Moonbase yesterday, and it was NOT what I imagined at all. I imagined a kind of BioShock 1950s Moonbase, not a futuristic one. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

First audio: Torchwood: The House of The Dead

First DVD- The Eleventh Hour. 11th Doctor episodes were mine, everything else was my dad’s.

Never bought DWM, I got the annuals instead.

Been to lots of cons, but no Doctor Who specific one.

First actor? Accidentally, Colin Baker. Intentionally, Gareth David Lloyd.

Yet to make a proper Doctor Who cosplay, but it’d hopefully be Yvonne Hartman..

First TV story you saw: Technically I watched parts of Blink but my first full episode of the show was The Eleventh Hour

First novelisation you read: Borrowed Time

First audio you heard: Death and the Queen

First issue of DWM you bought: 599, didn’t realize DWM existed so I was late to the game

  • First VHS/DVD/Blu-ray: Series 1 DVD Boxset
  • First issue of DWM you bought: DWM 464
  • First convention you attended: Gallifreycon (a defunct con we had here in Brazil that lasted for two editions only. I was part of the first edition organization)
  • First actor from the show you met: Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman (+ Moffat) during the World Tour in 2014. But if we can writers as well, I met Robert Shearman in a book signing back in 2011
  • First cosplay you bought/made: 7th Doctor I made for the 50th Anniversary, and it is still with me til this day, getting upgrades here and there.

I had the honor of meeting Sylvester McCoy in full cosplay with my wife as Ace back in 2014 btw, here’s a pic

First audio you heard: Cuddlesome

First VHS/DVD/Blu-ray: the Series 1-4 box set and the 50th anniversary collection (bought them at the same time; can’t remember which one went into the basket first)

First issue of DWM you bought: #456 (the 50th anniversary issue)

First convention you attended: None

First actor from the show you met: None

First cosplay you bought/made: None, but I made my own Doctor costume for the 50th

First TV story you saw: The Christmas Invasion. I watched about halfway through series two before going back to Rose and then watching all of New Who from there
First novelisation you read: don’t know, and don’t feel like checking right now but the first book was Ruby’s Curse
First audio you heard: The Diary of River Song Series 5
First VHS/DVD/Blu-ray: Destiny of the Daleks Media book (so both DVD and Blu-ray)
First issue of DWM you bought: haven’t bought any
First convention you attended: TimeLash last October. It was so much fun and you should all come this year
First actor from the show you met: any of the ones at timelash, so Katy Manning, Wendy Pad bury, Sylvester McCoy and Tommy Knight. I think Katy was the one I took the first picture with
First cosplay you bought/made: does the bowtie I wore to Timelash count? It did get someone to call me Doctor and a compliment from Katy Manning. Apart from that I’m currently working on a Horns of Nimon Romana (by working I mean I haven’t done anything in two months but I do think about it) [1]

  1. I also sort of made a Tegan one but it ended up being very uncomfortable to wear for gender reasons so I scrapped it ↩︎

  • First TV story you saw: Knowingly, ‘The Eleventh Hour’, but I caught some bits of ‘The Girl in the Fireplace’ years before and only realised it when I went back to watch the revival from the start.
  • First novelisation you read: Haven’t read any of the novelisations, but my first DW book was ‘The Taking of Planet 5’, which a friend of mine had for some reason.
  • First audio you heard: ‘Storm Warning’!
  • First actor from the show you met: Only met one: Mark Gatiss, when he went to Brazil sometime in 2013, I think.
  • First cosplay you bought/made: I did a very silly Second Doctor cosplay once, but only in the safety of my house lol

Might I add: my first DW merch was a toy TARDIS (a pretty good one that makes vwoorp vwoorp!) and Eleven’s sonic, which a family friend kindly bought for me when they went to England. My brothers got a couple of Adipose squishy toys.

First TV story you saw: Don’t know, I was raised on Who, my earliest memory is of Parting of the Ways
First novelisation you read: Day of The Doctor, but the first DW Book I remember is The Stone Rose
First audio you heard: Again, not sure, Sirens of Time is the first I remember
First VHS/DVD/Blu-ray: My parents have most so I never really needed to buy them, I got the silurian/sea devil collection for christmas one year though
First issue of DWM you bought: I have no idea
First convention you attended: Unfortunately I’ve not attended any, really want to though. That said I’ve been to the BFI Collection/Animation screenings, and the Doctor Who Experience when that was touring in London in 2009, which isn’t the same but is something
First actor from the show you met: I’ve not met any (to my memory), but I’ve seen a few at the screenings (Peter Peerves, Sophie Aldred, Sylvester McCoy)
First cosplay you bought/made: When I was 7, and went to the Doctor Who Experience, I cosplayed Voyage of the Damned Ten, but haven’t done any Who cosplays since (I’ve done Team Rocket and Shigeraki from MHA though)

EDIT: I forgot, I also cosplayed Jack for halloween a couple of years after getting a nice long coat in a charity shop for super cheap because it was missing a button

  • First TV story you saw: Probably Warrior’s Gate or Castrovalva (based on a weird dream I remember having as a child) but my first strong memories are of The Trial of a Time Lord.

  • First novelisation you read: Not a clue, but the first one I owned was Day of the Daleks which I used to hide down the back of my bookcase because the cover scared me.

  • First audio you heard: Probably the State of Decay audiobook read by Tom.

  • First VHS/DVD/Blu-ray: The Talons of Weng-Chiang - I remember buying it because it was the longest story on the shelf so I thought I was getting more value for money.

  • First issue of DWM you bought: Hmm. Something in the 180s I think.

  • First convention you attended: The big 1993 Panopticon in Hammersmith.

  • First actor from the show you met: Colin Baker - have I told everyone my Ultimate Adventure story…

  • First cosplay you bought/made: Possible a Dalek outfit I made for my eldest when they had a 60s Day at school. I don’t cosplay myself - tend to stick to T-Shirts.

Oh, unless you count dressing up as the Doctor’s companion, Felicity Holly Jemima Barrington-Smythe the Third for a Boys Brigade variety show…
