Why Are Some Collection Blu-rays Listed As Limited Editions and Others Aren't?

With the new browser extension for the Big Finish website, I’m going to be going through and adding what Big Finish I own. However, I decided to update my “The Collection” collection. Most of these sets are just “The Collection: Season X”, however a couple (Seasons 7 & 25) are listed as Doctor Who: The Collection Season 25 (Limited Edition Packaging) with no appearance of the standard editions.

So my question is: will they be changed to the Standard Editions at some point, or will all the different editions of “The Collection” be added to the Guide at some point?

Neither 7 or 25 have been released as standard editions yet.

But I have them as the standard packaging. Unless the US standard editions release before the UK Standard editions.

Are you sure they’re standard editions? They definitely have not been released in the UK as standard editions yet. The last standard edition was Season 15.

I don’t think the US get different editions (this is from a larger table on the TARDIS wiki)

Okay, I’ve got it figured out. The UK and Australia both get the Limited Editions and Standard Editions (though the wiki shows Australia only having two Standard Editions). The US doesn’t get two different editions, they only get one edition that just looks like the UK Standard in the case. The US edition also has slightly different labeling. Instead of Season 12, Season 7, Season 25, the US has Tom Baker Season 1, Jon Pertwee Season 1, Sylvester McCoy Season 2. So, technically none of my Collection Blu-rays are on the Guide because the Guide doesn’t have the US editions.

I hate the lack of the limited editions for the US. I would have liked to get at least one season with that gorgeous artwork and case. I still can if I also buy a british blu ray player

in fact the US editions are even worse than the UK standard ones.
