Who is your favorite NuWho master? Do they act alongside your favorite NuWho doctor?

who is your favorite nuwho master? is the main doctor they act alongside your favorite doctor as well?
im curious if people tend to prefer the master their favorite doctor acted alongside (or doctor their favorite master acted alongside)

  • Simm Master is my favorite, and the 10th Doctor is too
  • Simm Master is my favorite, but the 10th Doctor isnt
  • Missy is my favorite, and the 12th Doctor is too
  • Missy is my favorite, but the 12th Doctor isn’t
  • Dhawan Master is my favorite, and the 13th Doctor is too
  • Dhawan Master is my favorite, but the 13th Doctor isnt

Missy is my favorite, with Spy very very close behind, and 12 and 13 are my tied favorite Doctors!

I think Missy is my favorite… twelve isn’t my very favorite Doctor, but I do love him, and I think his dynamic with Missy is particularly well-done. Honestly, I think fifteen is my favorite at this point, and he hasn’t seen the Master yet, so maybe if we get him with the Master I’ll have a new opinion.

I love the way Missy and Twelve bounce off each other. (Although my favourite New Who Master is Jacobi, he’s not on the poll, so Missy definitely takes the cake. She’s fabulous.)

Dhawan is definitely my favourite of the post-2005 Masters. Just felt like the Master - ridiculous plans, clear Doctor-envy, charming yet cruel and unhinged at the drop of a hat, Tissue Compression Eliminator enthusiast, big fan of disguises, dresses for the occasion, big fan of Doctor-cosplay.

Missy is great and works very well with Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman, I enjoyed the “will-she-won’t-she redemption arc” in series 10, but I must say I cheered mightily when Spyfall came around and we had a more “Classic Master” once again.

On screen there is just not enough of Jacobi’s Master to really join this poll for me (haven’t heard much of him on audio).

Simm is so not for me. Oh my Giddy Aunt were those drums a disservice to the entire character of the Master.

Missy is my favorite but Twelve is at the bottom of the list of modern Doctors (shared last place with Thirteen)

Missy’s my favourite and her dynamic with twelve is excellent but he’s my second favourite new who doctor. My favourite doctor is thirteen and dhawan’s master is my second favorite.
Simm just does not work at all for me

Missy is my favourite. 12 isn’t my favourite but is very high on the list, and I think 12 & Missy was one of the best Doctor-Master pairings.

Whilst I agree it kinda changed the whole character of the Master and not in a good way, the way the drums were “A rhythm of four - the heartbeat of a Time Lord!” was just so good and I think about that all the time, every time I hear the theme tune! :two_hearts:
