Which is your favourite K9 model?
Here’s a refresher:
K9 Mark I was invented by Professor Frederick Marius and joined the Doctor in his travels in The Invisible Enemy. He is in 5 serials before staying on Gallifrey with Leela and appearing in the Gallifrey audios.
K9 Mark II was the Doctor’s replacement after Mark I was left with Leela. He was in several serials with the Doctor before getting stuck in E-Space with Romana, and eventually also ending up in the audio series Gallifrey.
K9 Mark III was with the Doctor for a while then shipped off to Sarah-Jane Smith at the home she shared with Aunt Lavinia, and stayed with her until self-destructing in School Reunion
K9 Mark IV was rebuilt by the Tenth Doctor for Sarah Jane Smith, after Mark III was destroyed. It is he who is with her for much of the Sarah Jane Adventures.
K9 Mark V was kept in the TARDIS with the Thirteenth Doctor and has so far only appeared in The Wonderful Doctor of Oz
K9 Mark 2 is the ‘regenerated’ K9 who appeared in the 2009 Australian TV show and The Essential Book of K9. He has bunny ears.
