Please oh mighty Captain Birdseye! I crave forgiveness! I promise to love Finland and Sweden more for the rest of time!

Fine. But never return to Norway as long as you live!

Also thank you for this topic because it reminded me I’ve wanted to get a passport for months but somehow never got around to making an appointment (I don’t have any plans to travel outside the EU this year, but this is one of those things where it’s just way easier if I’ve got one in case I ever do want to travel relatively spontaneously)

I love a bit of travel! I’m Aussie and fortunate enough to have seen most of this wonderful country. My last places to tick off the bucket list are Western Australia (Perth specifically) and Brisbane, but otherwise I’ve been to every state, territory and capital city.

I have travelled to Melbourne specifically to meet Doctor Who guests at a convention and plan on doing the same in Sydney later this year.

Recently I was also lucky enough to study abroad for 5 months in Europe and visit the UK, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Austria, and Italy while I was there. International conventions I’ve attended are London Comic Con and Timelash in Germany!

Next I’d like to visit North America and also London again (love love love London).

At least you avoided Norway, but Finland was right there…

Man, I’d love to travel.
Grown up and lived in West Yorkshire all my life. Never been abroad, never even been down South that many times. London may as well be in another country.

It’s same for my sister though. Parents had us and couldn’t afford to travel. Or holidays beyond the North.

I’d like to go to Wales, and maybe somewhere in South America. Oh, yeah, and North America, esp California/Nevada cuz Fallout New Vegas lol. Or even Appalachia (if it’s not too remote). And big cities like New York just out of curiosity.

From the UK - the birthplace of Doctor Who. I always think I haven’t travelled that widely because, as a child, we never went abroad as a family but then, from about the age of 21, I’ve been quite a few places mainly because my wife quite likes travelling.

So I did the obligatory school trip to France which was my first trip abroad ever, when I was 12. Then we did Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. My family went on a day trip to France in my mid teens which was our first family trip abroad but then we followed that up with a massive holiday to Israel to tour the various ā€˜holy’ sites. We then did Austria and visited Oberemmagau for the ā€˜once every 10 years’ Passion play (which was amazing).

My wife and I went to New Zealand and Australia for our honeymoon which is still easily the best holiday we’ve ever done and my wife would move to New Zealand in a heartbeat. Our next big holiday was to Florida to do Disney World, Universal and Busch Gardens (huge Disney and theme park fans).

We also did shorter holidays to Copenhagen, Florence and Disneyland Paris (both by ourselves and then with the kids and both sets of grandparents). My wife also took me to Amsterdam to tour the locations of Arc of Infinity. And yes, we went all the way to the house with the fountain where Omega’s TARDIS resides in the pump room.

My wife has travelled even more extensively and has been to Canada and Russia. And my parents got all adventurous when my brother and I left home and have visited places like Egypt and Nepal!

So it’s weird because I tend to think I’m not very well travelled - but actually, listing all of those I realise I’ve done a fair amount.

Our big dream is to visit Japan (and yest Tokyo Disney is on the list) and we’re hoping to go as a family when the kids are a bit older as they are both keen to visit too.

It’s nice to see so many people speak fondly of Australia (and New Zealand I guess ), it’s good to see that what I consider just an ordinary place can be a wonderful travel vista for so nany people. You’re all required to take home and redistribute as many Tim Tams as you can carry. Australia must keep its cultural dominance through the mythical allure of the Tim Tam Slam.

We made sure to buy Tim Tams when we were in Sydney.

Part of me would love to travel. But finances make it impossible, and I fear that my pickiness when it comes to food (I suspect that it’s at least partially due to my autism) would make it very difficult for me.

Part my reason for making this is to be able to post videos, book recommendations, etc. I want to try to focus a little on each country in the world (for my own enjoyment) and plan on sharing some of my findings with you guys. The first country in my alphabetical tour of the world is Afghanistan. Here’s a video I discovered while searching through Youtube. I’ve watched the first few minutes and it looks really good so far.

Redistribute? Not on your nelly! There’s only one place those rectangles of deliciousness are going when I get my hands on them and that’s the inside of my mouth!

I’m from the U.S. and I’d love to travel more but haven’t been able to go abroad for financial reasons. That being said my family did a lot of road trips growing up, so I’ve been to a bunch of the states. At risk of being lengthy, here’s every state I’ve been to: Washington, Oregon, Hawaii, California, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont.

We travelled a tonne as a family when I was a kid, so I can’t even list the places I’ve been to. Does going to Germany when I was one month old count? I don’t think so. Most of those trips have been to Europe, but we loved in the US (Pittsburgh) for a year when I was four, and visited Mexico and Costa Rica while we were there.

A few memorable childhood trips include the one to Austria, where I decided to become a vegetarian and spent the rest of the trip confined to eating chips, as most places didn’t have any other vegetarian options. Another one was a ski trip in the Czech Republic where I broke my leg on thelast day and got to be shuttled around the airport (before spending two weeks having to lug my cast up three floors to my classroom).

As an adult, I’ve been to Italy and the UK. In Italy I finally got to visit Rome for the first time - the two trips I took to Italy with my family as a kid were confined to Milano, in the north. My trip to the UK included a few days in Cardiff (of course) and Comic Con Liverpool.

I’m hoping to go to Germany for the first time this year to visit my friend who lives in Berlin and go to Timelash.

I love Boston! I used to have family who lived there. I also went to/worked at a summer camp about an hour outside of Boston for like ten years, and I made a habit of visiting before or after. Have you gone to the Boston Science Museum? Might be my favorite museum of all time.

Yes, a lovely museum indeed! I also love the city aquarium too

And of course I also do love about 45mins from the city on a good no traffic day, which makes my commute into the city for work every day just soooo fun…
