Nah. Aliens thought about destroying The North but when they landed thought someone already had
Nah. Thatās our culture. You just donāt get it.
According to fellow Aussie, Tegan Jovanka, āan isolated space cut off from the rest of the universeā aka Brisbane (or at least SE Queensland area since Iāve moved quite recently)
Illinois, USA here
Wisconsin, United States
Though I was born in northern New Jersey, I now live in the Philadelphia suburbs.
Oddly enough, I am now working with a client in northern New Jersey, located less than 5 miles from the house I grew up in.
Iām from Piedmont, Northwest Italy
In the US, down in Alabama. The deep south is a beautiful place, the nature is gorgeous, and I truly appreciate the biodiversity.
However, literally everything else leaves much to be desired. Particularly the people. I only have a social life online, as a result.
At least Iām not in Mississippi or, god forbid, Florida, haha. Lovely to visit, but never would ever want to live there.
Havenāt lived in Tennessee for 6 years and sadly canāt see myself safely going back any time soon, but I still consider myself a Tennessean. Echo a lot of what @BrightEmber said. Living in Colorado now.
Actually did live in Colorado for about half a year when growing up. Mostly grew up in California, then moved to Nevada, though.
Ohio, USA. I really love it here but am looking to move to England some time in the future.
Currently living in London, originally from Sussex. Lived in Cardiff (Doctor Who land) from 2011-2018.
I hail from the mythical land of atrocious television presenters
This land is home to a pop singer that has faded into irrelevance now
I feel like anyone outside of the UK will have absolutely no idea who these three are
During my British Culture class last semester my teacher kept mentioning all three of them every week and repeated that we need to know who they are for our exam. The amount of time was enough for all of us to remember. In the end it was a singular one point question so actually not that important for the exam (it was a 100 point total exam).
Iām so sorry that your syllabus genuinely believed Ant & Dec were part of British Culture, when theyāre actually a stain on it.
As a Geordie, I can only apologise that you had to know who they are.
Warwickshire. UK. Actually, not that far from the location shots of Tudor buildings for āThe Shakespeare Codeā. I drive past that location reasonably regularly.
And of course, not that far away from Birmingham where the gloriously marvellous āHorror of Fang Rockā was filmed.
Currently living on the east coast of the United States. I try to keep my exact location quiet because Iām very easy to find online if you know enough about my interests, and of course I never shut up about them, so Iāve got to take precautionary measures in other areas.
