When You Wish Upon a Star - the Disney Thread

I watched the first season or so when it first aired. I thought it was kind of fun, but I don’t remember that much.

I quite liked it, but stopped watching as there were just far too many episodes per season.

Love Once Upon a Time but still need to watch the final couple of seasons.

i do admit it kind of run its course after like s5,but first 3 seasons are amazing, even 4 is pretty good

I’m a huge fan of fairy tales in general and love mixing them together. Into the Woods is a top tier musical for me so Once Upon a Time was always going to be right up my alley.

It is kind of fun but it is a lot of waiting or paying…

Yeah, I’m finding that. Didn’t seem to get any rewards from you or @MrColdStream installing it either which is irritating.

So here’s an obscure one for people - how many of you have seen the full length version of The Reluctant Dragon where Robert Benchley tours the Disney studios? It’s actually rather charming and has some great behind the scenes stuff:

“I Won’t Say I’m in Love” is Peri singing about Six and no one can change my mind. That’s one of my favorite Disney movie songs.

A new Disneyland is slated. It will be owned and operated by Miral, who also constructed Warner Bros World, SeaWorld, and Ferrari World in the Abu Dhabi.

Honestly in this age of remakes i wouldnt be even surprised if we get Frozen live action

For over a year now some friends and I have been marathoning all of the animated Disney movies on Discord.

Last week’s was Brave, just in time for Mother’s Day.

This week we’ll be taking a break, but when we come back I believe Frozen is next on the list. I’ll have to double check that.

However, I discovered a new/old film that typically isn’t included in most Disney movie lists while conducting the marathon.

Hollywood Party.

Released in 1932 it was Mickey Mouse’s first film debut, but it wasn’t produced by Disney Studios. Rather it was a multi-studio collaboration that Mickey Mouse featured in.

It’s worth checking out if you like old musicals and comedies. It’s got Jimmy Durante, The Three Stooges, and Laurel and Hardy.

That sounds intriguing.

There is a lot to enjoy in Dumbo - one of Disney’s shortest animated features:

A movie that shows Dumbo getting drunk - you don’t get that in kids’ movies these days!

Because most kids movies these days aren’t about Dumbo
