I’ve got a phone interview tomorrow. There are a few issues I could potentially see, (such as I think it’s going to need a permit I don’t have, but hopefully it’s not difficult to get, and the location might potentially be an issue), but that’s promising, anyways.

I had the flu and was home since Monday, but I felt good enough (and am no longer contagious) to perform in my school’s musical tonight! I don’t miss feeling awful, but I will miss sleeping in and watching House MD instead of going to class.

Realised that the news stuff really has hit hard enough that I need a digital cleanse so I’m taking a break from social media + most IM clients for the next few days/week! …Except for here because this community has been so good to and for me that I think I can make it the one exception

Been re-reading through a novel I’ve been working on off and on for the last couple years (I think I started it for Nanowrimo 2023) in preparation for continuing writing while listening to Rèidio Cheòlais out of Daliburgh, United Kingdom.

Phone interview felt like it went pretty well. We were discussing shifts and pay, where the building was and such. I’d need to take a drug test and go get a gaming license, which actually sounds like it’s not a big deal, and it feels like I was wrong in a good way about where the building is, because the address I was given is actually more like a 45 minute bus ride away.
I’ve got another phone interview for the same place Monday. Hopefully everything goes well!
(If this works out, I’ll be doing phone tech support on slot machines.)

I have had to put a ban on looking at the news after the last week-ish, so you’re definitely not alone.
It feels like things are especially bleak right now and it’s always most important to protect your emotional health and hold on to things that bring you joy. For me Doctor Who – and TARDIS Guide – are two of those things.

But being serious for a change, i basically dipped from the national news a few weeks into The Dark Times. I pretty much only read my local newspaper and keep abreast of any major deaths that have happened.
It’s a nice way of living, but things have filtered through to me due to cultural osmosis and stuff
