You need to hurry up, before I devour it all!!!
Do you mean that Blond - Bara Hon Älskar Mig or Jill Johnson - Kärlek Är was the last unpolished one?
Feels like someone in our household has been sick for the last month or so. Last time it was me, and I was finally back at work by the end of last week. Now my oldest is having a fever. This flu season has been brutal in the Tian household, despite my wife and I being vaccinated.
Well, the last one in Swedish. Roger Pontare, Friends, Fame and other early 2000s songs weren’t exactly like the pop songs you usually send today I think the turning point really came after Eric Saade
My wife also made Mac and cheese today!
Very awesome… and I cut up little bits of hot dog in it (controversial, I know!)…
Very Sheldon Cooper!
I’ve been rather absent from whovian pursuits lately- the past four days were Crufts time, international dog show that streams for free. I’ve never owned a dog in my life- actually, i’m rather frightened of animals- but a good friend introduced me to it a few years ago and the event has become a household phenomenon. Been on the tv sofa with my mother and sister around the clock this whole weekend and had an amazing time celebrating the incredible connections between people and dogs. We’re going to see if we can attend local events some time this year too!
Hot dogs go great with mac and cheese, though personally I go with canned tuna
And it was, for many years, commentated by one Peter Purves (although I believe it’s Clare Balding nowadays).
TRULY? Wow. Frank Kane, nowadays, but- what an awesome fact! I’ll have that locked and loaded next year- already I “enlightened” my mom w the fact Louise Jameson’s performance as Leela was inspired by raising a basenji and the whole pirate planet thing. No such thing as too much doctor who trivia.
Peter Purves was the ‘presenter’ not a judge - as in he did the voiceover commentating for the show on TV - Clare Balding does it now along with some other presenters including Radzi Chinyanganya who, like Purves, was also a Blue Peter presenter. Is Frank Kane a judge?
ooohhh yes tuna pasta bake is a big winner to me
Frank Kane commentates most of the dog showing sections, as long with some lovely ladies who names I haven’t caught, not quite sure who does the officiating part of things but I do think it’s a man. But this may just be for the digital track- I watch through their youtube stream, and I’m only 90% sure it’s the same version as what the BBC transmits.
Ah, that’s probably what it is then. Balding etc present for Channel 4 which is who broadcast Crufts nowadays.
Semester starts today and I enrolled in everything I wanted without any headache, so that’s a nice first victory.
Now I just need to survive the next four months.
Funny you put it that way. When I was in school, I wound up in liberal arts with a design-your-own-curriculum major. Course priority was given to people who needed them for their major, and since my major basically didn’t require any specific courses, I never ever ever got all the courses I asked for. Surviving the semester was probably easier than enrolling!
Normally that’s a huge victory, but I chose to get a Chemistry degree, which means the next four months will be agonizing one way or another.
(It’s physics. It’s always physics!)
That said last semester was my best by far, so I’m staying optmistic.
I currently have a paper to write for uni until next Monday and I’m really struggling with it. It’s on a topic that interests me, I had enough time, the professor is nice, and we really just have to turn in a finished product to pass, but I just can’t bring myself to do any work on it most days. So I’m currently only four pages into a first draft of what needs to be at least twelve pages. And like, that’s not even that much! I should be able to do it, I just have trouble starting. The main thing is that I’d really hoped I’d be (mostly) finished by Thursday so I could use all weekend for gallifrey listening, but that’s looking increasingly unlikely. I don’t know, I’m just frustrated at myself.
That does suck and I really hope you are able to get it done by the time that you want to be finished. But remember to be easy on yourself too, we all have those periods of time when our work progress might be less than stellar. All we can do is still try our best and hope for the best.
Either way, good luck with it! Hopefully you can finish it but remember to not overwork yourself as well when possible
My partner’s birthday. Went out for a ramen date, which I suddenly found out was right down the street from a newly opened sensory toy shop. We’re both neurodivergent so of course we schlepped there. got some awesome stuff & sewing supplies, and then ended up spontaneously going to my place where I taught him cross-stitch and he advised me while I made leaps and bounds with my cosplay project. laughing into the small hours of the night w my little sister, eating reheated pizza. possibly the most perfect of days ever. Best type of exhausted!
