Had a routine dental checkup today, and this was I think the first in years where I was told all was fine and no issues.
For context: I’ve got a really bad gag reflex which combined with my dislike of the taste of mint, and my autism has led to me having really bad executive dysfunction that I have to fight when it comes to specifically maintaining dental hygiene. On top of that, I was having issues with a tooth in 2023 and 2024 that after too many delays led to me finally getting said tooth removed in August.
So to be told that everything is all good has genuinely made me happier than can be, and left me incredibly proud of myself for maintaining my dental hygiene as best I can since early December
Had the first exam this semester today, and it was super easy!! All the questions were identical to practice questions on the handouts which we were, along with our notes on them, allowed to take into the exam. I feel almost insulted in my intelligence
However, sadly I have now run out of excuses to not get started on my maths studying these next three weeks are going to be very hard
It was an argument about whether or not American English is…English which is rather obvious but the other person wouldn’t change their mind despite me providing evidence that it is. They just straight up didn’t believe that the language could vary between countries.
Half of the weirdness of English spelling vs. how things are pronounced, in fact, is that both spelling and pronunciation varied widely between areas, and when the spelling got standardized in dictionaries, there were a lot of times where the way the word was said ended up standardizing on how it was said somewhere else, other then where the dictionary spelling came from…
(Although the US still spells colour wrong and needs to find out what a fanny really is ).
But yeah, it’s like saying people in Cornwall don’t speak English, or people from Newcastle, or from Scotland or Wales for that matter. Or Australia? What would they say about ‘Australian English’?
And if you do a search for yourself, it’ll show who you block, who blocks you, and what lists you are on. I actually appear to be on several anti-AI blocklists, but that’s the one I found out about first, and the one that stands out.
(I think some of them just add anyone that posts anything with an #AI tag…)
Yep! I’m blocked by 47. Probably mostly people either blocking me because I’m on AI related blocklists… or they saw one of the couple times I did post AI art.
Or maybe they really don’t like some of the episodes I like, or saw me talk about politics one too many times.
