Needs to be in the evening UK time. Midnight was awful, 8am is bearable, but its been an evening staple all my life so I’d rather it was back where it belongs.

Maybe the only person in the UK who thought last year’s was perfect. Fully aware that’s as someone without kids but I enjoyed staying up late on a Friday night to watch it.

Oftentimes getting in from work around 10/11/midnight and being able to put on new Doctor Who.

Worked great for me.

I really liked being able to see it first thing in the morning last year.

7PM is probably the best for me,i miss the times during Series 12 and Series 13 when i watched it after dinner.

I do think the simultaneously Broadcast with BBCOne is the best Way to go, it’s the classic Way. That said the Release Model of last Year wasn’t too bad for me, but then again I don’t think it’s one super ideal in the long run. (Maybe we should all just destroy timezone differences so there is no Issue for anybody to watch it when it releases?)

12 am BST because it was 7 pm on a Friday in my time zone! I wouldn’t mind what we had for the Christmas special where it aired at 12 pm in my time zone. It airing for me at 3 am is suboptimal.

But this might be something for another topic. But are we sure that Saturday is the best day to drop episodes? It feels like most streaming services drop stuff on Fridays nowadays.

I’m not too picky. Last year’s midnight release worked okay because that ended up being 4pm on Friday for me. This year’s release means I can watch during breakfast.

I’d be fine with Friday so long as it aired in the evening EU/UK time. Otherwise absolutely not

SATURDAY! Or they would need to change the broadcast date for BBC One.

I actually really like the time as it is right now. It’s really nice for me because I can watch it in the morning with breakfast, don’t have to be concerned about spoilers beforehand if I stay up late. And my Saturdays are really nice with doctor who in the morning and DnD with friends in the afternoon. I’m not bothered by other times though, I can always watch it whenever I want after all

Any time during daytime GMT+8 would be perfect for me

I would very much appreciate returning to simultaneous release with broadcast, because I am a toxic mixture of too apathetic to watch the episode early and too nosy to resist looking up stuff, so I end up spoiling myself on the whole episode before I actually watch it each week with the advance streaming release schedule :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

I obviously want the episodes to drop whenever I decide. That way, I would rule the entire show and every fan desperate to see the next episode would do whatever I asked them to in exchange for seeing the episode!

It’s a win-win situation!

Muhahaha!

I actually really like 8am for the following reasons:

  • I prefer to be able to watch it any time of the day on Saturday that suits me. I’m often busy Saturday evenings. So earlier is better.
  • I prefer not to have to wait up until midnight if I want to watch it as soon as it drops.
  • 8am is almost perfect because it means I can just watch it in the morning when I get up, and avoid all spoilers. Actually it would be better a bit earlier, maybe like 6am just so I can watch it even earlier if I have plans that day.

I don’t like going back to 7pm because then I would mostly have to watch it on Sunday morning or something and would miss all the discussion.

Wasn’t a fan of midnight at all. I was too tired after work so would always watch in the morning. I kinda am loving 8am a LOT, but I do miss the evening routine…

In general, I think that they need to start focusing on streaming more than broadcast. I know that it is easy for me to say as someone outside the UK, but people, in general, do not watch TV live anymore. If they want the show to grow, they need to adapt and make decisions that make the show as good as possible for streaming.
