That’s okay, it’s all part of my alternate Whoniverse headcanon where we received every episode, just not in the same order, and not necessarily written exactly the same way. In it, Graham and Ryan are Companions first, reducing the crowded TARDIS, and then, since Ryan and Yaz know each other, she’s introduced somewhere in Series 12 (halfway through, perhaps), so we get that new Companion wonder again. Then, when Graham and Ryan’s story has run its course, they depart and we focus on 13/Yaz, and since we just had a new Companion added only a few episodes previously, we don’t need Dan for Flux. I would keep PotD, but instead of having it be a Doctor regeneration story, it would be a Master regeneration story, with Dhawan escaping or disappearing at the climax in the midst of their regeneration, so we don’t see the new face. We would also have a cool look at every incarnation of The Master like the one for The Doctor that included Shalka. This BBC Centenary episode would lead off the Year of the 60th Specials, with Whittaker having to deal with the burgeoning return of the pantheon while navigating a possible relationship with Yaz in their awkward yet endearing fashion.
This would of course necessitate rearranging episodes across all the seasons, moving the strongest team episodes to the period in S12 where all four characters were together, and stories that would be stronger with just Graham and Ryan to the beginning of 13s run, with the strongest Yaz episodes moved to the end (unless it’s one better served with the full team).
