What is the best third season for a doctor?

No it isn’t. Fenric is the closest there is to a god in there, and even that’s just “godlike being” territory, an alien being of more power than we can truly comprehend, an embodiment of evil.

I don’t know. There isn’t that much of a connection between the two. I don’t see the two compared often.

Sigh…I suppose I’ll choose someone else this time :pensive:.

Battlefield → Based on Arthurian legend, not gods. Though Jean Marsh could easily be mistaken for a god any time she appears in Doctor Who.

Ghost Light → Not totally sure I’d consider Light a god. He’s very powerful, and has been on earth for a very long time. Guess I could go either way.

Curse of Fenric → Okay, Fenric is an evil entity from the beginning of time. Potentially a god.

Survival → Cats, the Master, and lesbian subtext. No gods here.

Honestly, I think the main theme here is incredibly good stories…

According to the Wiki, Light is an Eternal, though I don’t know where that comes from.

This was a tough one, I struggled to choose between series 4 and series 10, though ultimately I went with series 4. While I do adore series 10, I think series 4 edges it out for me. S4 is easily 10s best series, and Donna his best companion, it also has some pretty top tier episodes such as Turn Left and Midnight, and how can I possibly forget to mention Wilf, everyone’s favourite grandpa .
(Sorry series 7, my love for you just isn’t that strong.)

While I adore Flux so, so much, Series 10 is the best series of Doctor Who ever so of course I’m going to pick that.

Hmm, difficult choice. I mean, Tom Baker’s 7th was really good. But then also you have to take into consideration Bom Taker’s 7th season which was also really good.

Is it being pedantic saying season 23 should be an option on this poll?

Justice for “Trial of a Time Lord”! :sunglasses::wink:

I was trying to think of a way of making the 60th specials Tennant’s 7th season. But I could not make it more than 6 seasons.

Series 2
Series 3
Series 4
Specials
50th special
60th specials

Series 4 Vs series 10 for me! But season 26 is a close third after both

You could squint and count Infinite Quest as another season :eyes:

I voted for series 4 (Tenth Doctor) but I really wish this had allowed more than one answer. I’ve long felt that Pertwee’s third season is fantastic (Day of the Daleks, The Curse of Peladon and The Sea Devils are all peak Third Doctor for me). Capaldi’s final season is my favourite of his three (love the University setting for him - he works so well as eccentric professor). I also have huge fondness for Flux. Shout out for Troughton’s third and final season too. It’s a little unwven but has three all-t8me greats for me (The Mind Robber, The Invasion and The War Games). Moreover, it’s a LOT less formulaic than Troughton’s second season.

Much as I love Tom Baker’s season 14, I feel 13 is the best of the Hinchcliffe years and 14 feels less imaginative than many of the other third season options.
