What is a companion?

Love your posts but this…

…I try, I really do…

…but this is a bridge too far for me! :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Of course, in my head, the Doctor and the Master used to be good friends and went on adventures together, long before the Master tried to conquer the universe, and Missy was trying to recapture an old friendship… :1tardis: :tardis:

Of course, I say in my head, but:

JO: You felt sorry for him, didn’t you. You wanted to come down here and see that was all right.
DOCTOR: Well, he used to be a friend of mine once. A very good friend.
In fact, you might almost say we were at school together.
JO: How long’s he going to be here?
DOCTOR: Forever, I should think.

Nope  If I start counting the Master as a companion then my entire belief system will crumble.

And as for the robot Master in Shalka… it was a bloody stupid idea then and it’s still a bloody stupid idea now. Never understood what they were hoping to achieve with that if it went to a series.

Oh absolutely - that is true. Still doesn’t make her a companion though  , even if the label of ‘villain’ is a little reductive.

Frankly I’d be surprised if that hadn’t already asked both actors and had been turned down…

Join me in the delightful land of Will’s adventures with the Doctor, Tegan and Turlough as he discovers many a noxious brew.

Well now, that does sound like fun.

TURLOUGH: I quite miss that brown liquid they drink here.

CHANDLER: Ale.

TURLOUGH: No, er, tea.

CHANDLER: What be tea?

DOCTOR: Oh, a noxious infusion of oriental leaves containing a high percentage of toxic acid.

CHANDLER: Sounds an evil brew, don’t it.

DOCTOR: True. Personally, I rather like it.

Ah, the joy of tannins!

A universe where the Master is a companion doesn’t bear thinking about.

You misspelled “Wilf”
