The Doctor Who spin-off, Blake’s 7 - The Liberator Chronicles: Logic. Louise Jameson starring in a Simon Guerrier script and it’s superb.
Did VamPD the last few days and absolutely adored it! Incredible take on modern vampires, Juliet Landau is to die for, the characters are soooooooo good and I really hope we’ll get more of this
I began BF’s Treasure Island. Really enjoying it so far.
Tom Baker is an interesting choice for John Silver

And I took the bait!!!
Not Big Finish, but I started the new full cast Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban last night (Audible credit). Guess how much I was delighted to hear Aunt Marge, just for the fact she’s played here by Louise Jameson.
Started In the Valley of the Noble Beyond yesterday. It’s a book about Bigfoot. It’s okay, but it’s not super grabbing me.
Finished Logic (which was utterly brilliant. Louise Jameson at her absolute best) and then breezed through the second story in the set, Risk Management, which was fun but pretty middle of the road as Blake’s 7 stories go. Already started the third story which is a journalist interviewing Servalan. I don’t expect him to get out alive… (Jacqueline Pearce is amazing).
Three - the story with Servalan being interviewed by a journalist didn’t quite end as I expected but it was still astonishingly good. And very, very dark. Servalan is a nasty, nasty, nasty piece of work.
Ooh this is new. I’ve been listening to the BBC Lord of the Rings radiodramas, really great stuff and the cast is all excellent including Ian Holms as Frodo who played Bilbo in the Peter Jackson films
I LOOVE that dramatisation! I listened to it last year, and it was amazing!
I listened to FOTF radio drama of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. It was great!
Started Survivors Series 7 for my next listenalong with @sircarolyn.
An interesting first story which mixes hope, despair, some actually good people and Carolyn Seymour giving it her all.
I’ve been eyeing that up for a while. I will get to it at some point!
Space Travel For Beginners: a lovely tribute to Douglas Adams!
So I’ve been trying to get into audio drama writing, so have been doing research into tons of different ones. This guy writes, directs, edits and acts in his own audio dramas - really inspiring stuff, definitely recommend checking out!
I’m not going to finish In the Valleys of the Noble Beyond. An interesting premise, I might read the book someday, but I wasn’t engaged by the audiobook. Stuck four new ones on there, we’ll see how they are.
Started my next non-Who audiobook on the drive to a sub shift for work. Gumption, written and read by Nick Offerman, is really good so far. A somewhat humorous yet still honest and serious look at 21 great Americans. The first one being George Washington.
Listened to Liberation the first Blake’s 7 audio with Yasmin Bannerman’s Danya. While it’ll take me a little while to get used to her she does a good job in the role. She also got some good character stuff with this still being pretty early in her time with the liberator and still hasn’t became accustomed to the others.
The third story, Old Friends, from Survivors Series 7 is another example of how utterly brilliant Louise Jameson in. Heartbreaking!
I enjoy listening to vintage radio plays. The Phil Harris-Alice Faye Show is one of my favorites. It’s still hilarious over 80 years later.
Finishing off Survivors Series 7 today.
