What do you call the Master's incarnations?

I mostly just call the character “the Master” or “Missy”, but if it needs defining then I’ll likely use the actor’s surname to differentiate them.

Agree. We could equally call him the Rasputin Master with the same justification

I really want a Master to come up with a name at some point and insist other people use it, just to watch members of TARDIS Wiki explode.

“But he’s still called the Master.”
“He is, but he told characters across 4 episodes to call him Fanny Apple Fred!

I mostly use in-universe terms for the Masters, but there are exceptions:
Dreyfus is The Transphobe Master
Delgado is The UNIT-era Master
Beevers is The Crispy Master
Ainley is The Tremas Master
Roberts is The Bruce Master
McQueen is The Reborn Master
Jacobi is The War Master
Simm is The Saxon Master
Gomez is Missy
Dhawan is The Spy Master

“Kisgart” is The Unbound Master

I’m sure I’ve forgotten some incarnations there, but those are the ones I can think of off the top off my head.

Young and unbound

I mean, he clearly has done so:

MASTER: I am usually referred to as the Master.
ROSSINI: Oh? Is that so?
MASTER: Universally.

Even when theoretically disguised, he goes by names like Colonel Masters…

For me it goes:

Master
Crispy Master
Tremas Master (only recently started calling him this, and I forget sometimes lol)
Movie Master
MacQueen Master
War Master
Saxon Master (fairly recently started calling him this. gone are the days of simm!master)
Missy
Lumiat
Spy Master
Unbound Master

Kinda off topic but…

Am I the only one who thinks calling both David Warner’s Doctor and Gatiss’ Master “Unbound Doctor” and “Unbound Master” kinda off?

Unbound is a whole umbrella. There are lots of Unbound Doctors who are not interconnected in any way. I know this is how BF addresses them, but it always sounded kinda weird to me. Especially nowadays that we have Doctor of War, which belongs in the Unbound umbrella, getting new stories… It’s an Unbound reality too! Why only Sympathy for the Devil’s reality gets to be called the unbound one?

(yes, I know it sounds kinda nitpicking  )

The Unbound Doctors cause havoc on the site because I don’t know what to call them so I break with my “no out-of-universe” clause and put the names in there

I wish there was a better way!

This is likely because Warner’s Doctor is the only Unbound Doctor who stuck with BF and received a life of his own outside the Doctor Who Unbound range. The same goes for the Gatiss Master.

I also don’t bothet quantifying Dreyfus anymore, he’s just “That Master” to me

Isn’t Warner meant to be an Unbound 3, Bayldon an Unbound 1 and Collings an Unbound 7?

In Warner and Bayldon cases yes, but I’m not very sure about Collings. I could never really place him anywhere based on the information Full Fathom Five gives us.

But we do have more than one version of specific incarnations in Unbound since Arabella Weir is also a 3rd Doctor apparently
