- Spyfall 1 is passable.
- Spyfall 2 is crap.
- Orphan 55 is terrible.
- Tesla is pretty good, and got one of my votes.
- Fugitive is bog standard with a twist that was done better years prior.
- Praxeus is dull.
- Mr Fingers is forgettable.
- Haunting is pretty great, and got my second vote.
- Ascension is crap, aside from the intriguing (later pissed away) Ireland scenes.
- Timeless is awful.
- Resolution is passable but frustrating - it doesn’t really do much with any of its concepts or characters.
Spyfall 1 is great
Spyfall 2 is still pretty good, but not as good as the first
Orphan 55 is uh, not good
NTNOT is quite good
Fugitive of the Judoon is pretty good, and I like basically all of the reveal of the previously unknown Doctor. Jack was superfluous though.
Praxeus is a mixed bag, overall kind of eh
Can You Hear Me? is good
Haunting of Villa Diodati is one of the best 13 episodes
Ascension of the Cybermen is… pretty good actually
The Timeless Children is ok, but the method in which they decided to explain the Timeless Child was rather a momentum killer.
Revolution of the Daleks is meh, don’t care for it much.
I went for Diodati and Spyfall Part 1. This series is stronger than S11 for me and my favorite 13 series. The only episode I don’t really like is Orphan 55.
I chose Haunting and Spyfall Part 1, Fugitive was a close third here. It’s not a Series that makes me go “Oooo” or “Oh” if that makes sense, but still enjoyed all the three massively.
Wait it does? Who is it?
I’ve genuinely never noticed. But then again, I’m also horrible at recognizing people-
Yeah it has Mary Shelley in it, who was his companion in four audios. Because of this, and that one of these audios is set during the same time as THOVD, the episode contradicts them. Most people probably don’t care about this since she is a historical figure, but I’m the sort of person who gets very sad when the show ignores BF continuity, especially something as big as a companion!
I went for first and last, Spyfall 1 (I mean, really, that cliffhanger!) and the Daleks special. I’d have included the Judoon story and Diodati if I could … but I love the Daleks, you see. If the story wasn’t their best, they were very impressive in it. Very well directed!
The problem I had with Mary Shelley as a companion was that she just wasn’t very interesting. It felt like they just coasted on the concept of Shelley being a companion and didn’t bother to give her much to do beyond that. Army of Death is particularly dull.
