- The Halloween Apocalypse
- War of the Sontarans
- Once Upon Time
- Village of the Angels
- Survivors of the Flux
- The Vanquishers
- Eve of the Daleks
I can’t even begin to pick two here purely because I can’t remember what happened in any individual episode enough to distinguish them. They all kind of blur into one thing to me. I ought to rewatch but the thing is I kind of don’t want to…
I find it really hard to rank episodes within Flux because it’s very much one big story for me and is 5/5 across the board but I do think Once, Upon Time is my favorite. And I’ll also vote for Eve here because I love it but I don’t think it belongs on this list because it’s not part of Flux
Village of the Angels is one of the best Weeping Angels episode since Blink, and I just think War of the Sontarans is great, but Eve of the Daleks was a very close 3rd.
Not including the specials is criminal, where is Power of the Doctor
I can’t fully remember where each episode starts and ends since it’s all one story. That’s partly why I voted for EOTD despite it not being part of Flux, and time loops are fun. And VOTA because of its delightfully creepy atmosphere.
War of the Sontarans is just superb, as is this series. On first watch, I enjoyed it a lot but it didn’t become a comfort for me until a couple years later. Rewatched it a few times, which I don’t do much these days. The Halloween Apocalypse I think is underrated, there’s a LOT of set up and I love watching this back knowing where all the plot threads actually go. Its got Chibnalls classic 500 different situations approach, which I love.
Oh I love Flux!
It’s hard to choose a favourite part, I love quite a few!
While Eve of the Daleks does deal with some of the fallout of Flux, I wouldn’t call it a part of the main Flux story.
There will be a poll merging 2022 and 2023 specials
This is acceptable.
I’m a Flux fan. This is my favorite 13th Doctor season, pretty enjoyable from start to finish. But Sontarans and Angels take it for my picks.
Like the best things in life, this poll is a bit of a challenge. As others have said, it really is one big story and it’s difficult to rate individual episodes. I’ve gone for The Halloween Apocalypse because it opened the series in such a chaotic style that promised this would be nothing quite like Doctor Who had ever been. I’ve also gone for Village of the Angels (which I recommended to someone at work who last watched Doctor Who when David Tennant MK 1 was on it) because it is just absolutely superb. Yet still I’m sad not to have also included War of the Sontarans, the best Sontaran story ever told on television.
Flux - splendid episodes, all of them.
Blimey, what a list.
Voted for the first two episodes, as they showed promise and potential. The rest of the series was a complete mess.
Village of the Angels and War of the Sontarans
Not sure if including Eve makes sense, personally speaking if we include it, especially since it can be paired with the other two Whittaker Specials and is very separate to Flux like said above here already.
