Specifically an eye patch on the middle eye, with the other two being fine… :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ll say it again. Time-Flight is good actually. Not only is there the best plane ever and pilot shenanigans, but it’s fun. I don’t think I can claim it’s my favourite or that it’s sublime TV, but it is fun and deserves much more love than its reputation

I am with you on this one.
It’s in no way one of the all-time greats, but it is most definitely unjustly maligned :+1:

Also I’ve come to love it a bit because I was blanking on a bedtime story at one point recently, and having just watched Time-Flight, I told a very abbreviated version of it to my six year old son (Khalid was revealed to be a monster made of Ketchup which my son insisted to be a part of the story)

I am not with you on it unfortunately. It was good essentially until the location work stopped. That was a visual representation of how much of a rapid decline that story is. I’ll just watch The Faceless Ones instead.

Just saw first part of “The Awakening” :+1:
Quite like this story, there’s a lot going on for a classic two-parter :slightly_smiling_face:

Finished Talons

Continued to be great. I love how Greel was slowly revealed to be kind of an idiot. Mr Sin is also such an amazingly bizarre idea for a character (a doll with a pigs brain that loves chaos?)

I give it 4/5

Finished SJA Series 1 (:tada:) with The Lost Boy, which surprisingly works really well as a finale.

Got the wife to watch The Frog Prince for the first time. Love them Muppets, and it features one of my favorite Muppet songs of all time, simply titled “Frogs”.

Oh wow Brain of Morbius is just as good as I remember! Honestly I feel like it’s kinda perfect. Sarah is on top form, with tonnes to do from start to finish. With Sladen performing her with so much charm. Four has little to do till the final part, but I think that works to let the story develop everyone else and the world. The atmosphere is absolutely divine! The only possible issue I could maybe give it is that Morbius as a super threat is only really said and not shown, but it doesn’t take away from just how much I enjoyed this one.

Easily in my top 3 Four stories.

Finally watched The Stones of Blood and The Androids of Tara in their entirety today! I’ll admit, I’m more inclined to be generous towards Season 16 than I probably should be, but Stones of Blood is decent enough and I love Androids of Tara. It’s silly, it’s witty, Mary Tamm is there in four different (strangely underutilised) roles, and Count Grendel is such an amusing villain. The Fourth Doctor is at his best here, a tinkerer and an adventurer with a sharp tongue and (somewhere in there) hearts, and if you’ve listened to Gallifrey: Reborn, then Brax’s line about carrying Romana off on a white charger becomes utterly hilarious. It’s just a pity that Season 16 is about to go off the rails for good.

Stones of Blood has Professor Rumford, and I’ll always love her character…

Yes, I loved her! She’s probably one of the strongest one-off characters in Classic Who.

Stones of Blood is so banger

Lesbian academics, the second-most obviously evil pseudonym ever (first-most obviously evil pseudonym going to the Master for the thousandth time running), drastic genre shift from folk horror to courtroom dramedy, Mary Tamm as Romana I, stones, blood, stones of blood… what more could you possibly want?

As played by an actual lesbian, even.

Oh, I really need to rewatch Key to Time, I’ve been reading the novelisations these past few days, but I miss looking at Romana

I would listen to 10000 spinoff audios from this story no matter how shit they were :star_struck:

It does seem like one of those stories that would get a Jago and Litefoot-style spinoff nowadays… Rumford and Fay has a ring to it. Oh, how I love Season 16.
