Watched Star Trek Voyager - Year of Hell - Parts 1 & 2. That’s basically where I’d left off on Voyager, so I thought I’d make a little progress.

Would’ve been interesting if that’d been a season instead of a two parter, as I understand they’d originally wanted…

Today I watched Paradise Towers and Delta and the Bannermen.

I really liked Paradise Towers! 9/10 and added to my favourites.

As for the second story… Sorry, @deltaandthebannermen.

Oh no! Another enemy to put onto @deltaandthebannermen’s ever-growing list!

I really expected to like it, is the thing! I tend to have contrary opinions when it comes to Classic Who, and all the stories set in Wales so far have become favourites of mine. It’s a real shame.

Paradise Tower is great, probably my favourite '80s Who story! Delta and the Bannermen are not that good.

I do love Paradise Towers, though I do disagree with you as far as Pex goes. Pex is a tragic character, really. He committed an act of cowardice, and is clearly ashamed of himself, and trying to act heroic, even though no one will take him seriously, and his cowardice still overcomes him.

And at the end, he did manage to be a hero…

I can see that, but I feel that it didn’t really come across that well in the serial itself.

That’s a good one, and one of the few Voyager reset buttons I feel is particularly earned by the episodes.

@shauny, @uss-genderprise has requested their entire account is deleted from TARDIS Guide due to irreconcilable differences. Could we action this as soon as possible to prevent any undue upset.

Yes, I’m afraid it’s time. This old dog (23) must be put out to pasture :pensive:. The world simply could not handle another Delta disliker.

I’m watching the next batch of The Daleks’ Master Plan today, probably episodes 4-7.

Alongside Classic, I’m also going to make a start on the televised spin-offs!

I’m about to begin, with K-9 and Company!

Ended up watching episodes 4-8. The Feast of Steven remains one of the most unnecessary episodes of Doctor Who. Gotta love Sara Kingdom, though. And the return of the Monk!

The odd cricket scene in Part 8 is very similar to a scene that Douglas Adams included in his scrapped Doctor Who and the Krikkitmen story, and which was later adopted into one of the Hitchhiker’s Guide books.

I love The Feast of Steven.

It has its quirks, such as a couple of funny lines that I submitted as quotes, but I just don’t see the appeal of it. I don’t find it funny, and it’s mostly just 25 minutes of silliness. Granted, the recon might not do it justice!

It’s Doctor Who kicking back for a week and saying ‘Sod it! Let’s do a Z Cars spoof and then run around Hollywood for 10 minutes and have a laugh’. The in jokes are great and I love Sara’s bemusement at it all.

In fairness, I struggle with the rest of Masterplan so anything that breaks from that story is going to get favourable looked on by me.

And I have never seen Z Cars and know next to nothing about it, which might be why the jokes didn’t land for me.

I totally get the struggle with Masterplan though. One reason I break up my watching is that I don’t think I’d enjoy it as much if I tried to finish it in one or two sittings.

To be honest, neither have I - before my time, but I know enough about it from cultural osmosis and being interested in the history of UK TV.

Finished K-9 and Company!

What have I just watched?
