It goes really well with the other two from the Lofficier Trilogy (they were such an important text for this burgeoning young fan..)

I mean they were riddled with errors, but still.

Finished “The Winning Side” late last night.

Honoré and Emily make a good team :+1: Quite excited to see how their partnership continues after the events of this one.
Being, literally, in the “1984” timeline was fantastic.

I can see the audiobook is narrated by Louise Jameson, could be interesting to listen to it as well at some point.

On to “The Tunnel at the End of the Light”

I have been reading a lot of short stories lately. The quality is really hit or miss, but it is nice to read shorter pieces where you don’t have to invest that much time in each story.

Finished the first chapter of Dead Romance and, hopefully, if it stays like this, then this might not be as daunting as I feared. I’m just always a bit wary of Lawrence Miles…

I’ve had my sights on that one for a while as well :slightly_smiling_face: And don’t really want to wait until I get there reading the VNAs in order - that’s almost 50 books away, and I’ve pretty much stalled 4 chapters into “First Frontier”…
Maybe I’ll go for “Dead Romance” when I am done with the Time Hunter series :slightly_smiling_face:

I’m of the understanding it’s pretty standalone - and we republished as part of the Faction Paradox range.

I’m wary not just because of Miles but also because I’m not a huge fan of Faction Paradox.

I know next to nothing about Faction Paradox :person_shrugging: Which is probably why I am a bit intrigued by it…

Now I’ve read all the SIGNET stuff and am going through Time Hunter I need to plan my next rabbit hole of tertiary EU content

I’m reading The Ruby’s Curse, and I’m enjoying it a lot!

This surprises me as I haven’t heard good things about it

I found it to be okay but that it overstayed its welcome by quite a bit.

I found it enjoyable enough, but I also thought it wasn’t amazing :person_shrugging: as far as things that are basically fine go, it could have been much more boring and stupid and terrible so yes. In conclusion, not bad, not good though

I absolutely loved it, but that appears to be a minority opinion

Tbf it wasn’t a Faction book originally

I too have started Dead Romance because I wasn’t feeling like reading the other (3!) books I’ve started right now…
It’s really good so far and I’m excited to finally start something Faction Paradox!

Dipping my toes into the Disc World series. I’m home alone with nothing to do today, so I’ve read most of Mort.

My copy of 'Doctor Who and the Crusaders arrived today! I just checked, and it appears I don’t read it until page 6 of the Guide, so it’ll be some time.

If you like Mort, I recommend doing Reaperman and Hogfather. Hogfather is one of my favourite books ever, and the Death of Rats is one of my favourite characters in any media.

I just finished these two readings this past week. I admit that I’m loving the EDAS (even though I’ve only read two lol) because of Sam, I simply adore this girl

I realized there are A LOT OF EDAS, so I’ll find a reading guide soon. I love the Eighth Doctor and Sam, but I don’t have time to read everything, haha.

I just finished the Thirteenth Doctor comic Hidden Human History, which I quite enjoyed! When I return it to the library tomorrow, hopefully there are more Doctor Who comics on the shelf.
