What Are You Currently Playing?

Yeah, I pretty much had a bunch of shareware discs and discs from computer magazines I was subscribed to and stuff copied from other places and no real money to actually buy anything, so I ended up spending time playing that and Theldraw, Scarab of RA, Taskmaker, Tomb of the Taskmaker, the Escape Velocity series, The Dungeon of Doom, Return to Dark Castle, Oxyd, Crystal Quest, The Fools Errand, 3 in Three, Systems Twilight…

Got sucked into playing Endless Sky for a few hours, though it isn’t on my backlog. It’s a free game on steam (and also open source) heavily inspired by the Escape Velocity series.

I noticed there are several opening scenarios instead of one, now, but it’s all variations on the same theme. You just took out a big loan from a bank, and use it to buy one of three starting spaceships. You are then paying off your debt daily, and can make larger payments to the bank if you want.

Go grab some jobs running around the galaxy earning money, and buy trade goods and sell them off on other planets to make money as well. Pay off your starting debt, customize your ship, buy a new one, or a fleet, fight off pirates or be a pirate, take sides in the war going on…

You also hear random rumors from passing ships. One of them mentioned someone who claimed to be a time traveler on a ship with a blue box…

(Paid off my debt and bought a better ship.)

Has anyone played the new Star Trek Voyager game? I played a little bit of the demo, but that felt very unfinished, as demos often are. I’m just seeing that it’s been getting mixed reviews on steam and was wondering if anyone here has played it.

I’m going to jump back into Star Trek Online. I played some back in September of last year, but plan on starting a new character. I’ll be posting a poll in the Star Trek thread later to help me decide what to start first[1].

I’ve finally got around to finishing Tunic, and wow, that is one of the best video gaming experiences I’ve had in a while. I googled some guides to get the true ending, but I did most of it purely through what the game gave me and my god it is satisfying to figure out what the game is trying to tell me

Bit gutted that it’s still down. I’ve been looking forward to playing it all day :sob:

Haven’t played on it in about 2 weeks, so of course the evening I want to play, the entire network goes down

Bloodstained is such a great game. I remember the art style and character customization. I’m usually bad at Castlevania style games and end up quitting but that one I had a blast with.

I haven’t played this in years, I’ve been meaning to get back into it! How is it?

It’s fine, but I prefer Star Wars: The Old Republic. The graphics are fine, but feel old. The gameplay’s fine, but being more used to SWTOR, it doesn’t grab me as much. The story so far is interesting, but it’s not really grabbing me like the Star Wars ones do.

Since transferring it to my new phone I’ve been playing project sekai a lot more again and I randomly got better at it, like I’ve full combo’d so many things since starting up

This game also has a little side mode which is basically animal crossing called mysekai, and I forgot that when you visit other peoples sekais they can be online, so I ended up hanging out with someone for a bit while I toured their place, they were very nice :D (I’m the one on the left)

In other rhythm game things, I redownloaded ensemble stars to see if I could get into my old account, and I did!! I wanted it primarily for their project sekai collab.

And finally on my iPad I got the new game Hololive dreams. I have never watched a single Hololive Vtuber stream but the game looked really interesting and it is!!! It’s got a whole 3D world to run around in. You build a whole theme park!! It feels a bit like infinity Nikki cross your usual idol sim.

People like to say the actual rhythm part is a pjsekai knock off, and while yeah it’s similar, people said the same about D4DJ and that’s still around. (somehow. It’s such a surprise it isn’t dead by now) project Sekai was inspired by BanG dream/Bandori, which takes a lot from Chunithm, and you go further back into the history of rhythm games you can trace it all back to one point so it’s kinda stupid comparing them. At the end of the day we all want love live back (/j)

One more game I’ve played today, Umamusume. I haven’t touched this game in a while and uh first thing I do is train the most powerful horse I’ve made yet so uh obviously the break made me all powerful. It just takes up 23Gb on my iPad. Why do you do that. Whyyyyy

Returned to Lego Dimensions for the first time in AGES. Got three or four more gold bricks in the Mission Impossible World.

Kinda ironic, really, that you have this big outage causing people not to be able to play digital games on Playstation right after they announced they were discontinuing all non-digital games…

Finished Black Flag Resynced, that ending still hits right in the feels.

I’ve been playing Moonlight Peaks lately. It’s a supernatural-themed farming game without combat, very chill and the story is interesting so far.

Been playing some Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds: Saga the last couple days.

On my backlog, I played the demo of IDLE_DIRECTIVE and thought it was fun, and I thought I’d mention that the full game just came out. Costs $5.
