When are you going to finish them?
Are you going to wait until the Audio Club reaches it?

When I get the chance. Some of us work for a living you know.
And @sircarolyn keeps staring at me until I listen to more Gallifrey/Countermeasures/Omega Factor/Leela/UNIT Brave New World/etc…
They are SO GOOD!!! I am rotating Anne Reynolds in my head nonstop today. Her<3
You see Delta! You could come and join Jae in my lair (where she’s definitely not chained to the wall and held hostage) and have fun !!
I have not listened to any of them, but I am still going to call them very good, because @sircarolyn is never wrong in her opinions! You should give them a shot, Delta!
Okay, I did it. Can you let me out of this damp, ant-filled cellar now?
NO! Locked in the cellar you will stay until you submit to audio listening!!
You need to listen, then you can get out of the cellar. You see, I have now listened to Gallifrey, the Omega Factor and Counter Measures, which means I’m actually no longer in there. Listening to these will make you mentally tied to her forever, but it does get you out of the cellar /j of course
How will I explain to my wife that I’m eternally mentally linked with another woman, forming a sort of hive-mind multiform?
I really, really need to get out of this cellar, I think these ants might actually be Zarbi…
Just tell her it’s a weird DW thing, I’m sure she’ll understand
And you mean you don’t like my friends the Zarbi… just swear fealty to the Narvinettes forever and I’ll consider letting you go
Listened to “Jago and Litefoot and Strax” today, and it was a hoot
And I am almost at the end of “The End of the Line” from “The Last Adventure” with the Sixth Doctor Seems good.
What does “hoot” mean? Been seeing this word a lot lately but never quite get its meaning in context
I was really liking The Wreck of the World for about an episode or so, but it really lost my interest after a while. A shame, because there’s a nice cast of characters and all. But I just did not care for the main threat.
Well, that wraps up my jaunt through The Early Adventures and also through 2017. Only one year left to get through. And then, sheesh, dunno what I’ll do after that.
Just means humorous, makes you laugh out loud. RTD says it a lot.
I got some time by myself on a sun lounger and listened to the first part of The Last which is actually quite gripping so far!
I don’t know the context. As Shauny says, if something is described as a hoot, it usually means it’s really funny. Could also just mean fun, as when Ted Lasso says the dart game is “gonna be a hoot”. (If the reference means nothing to you, I recommend watching Ted Lasso!)
Also, the phrase “give a hoot” means to care. I.E. “I don’t give a hoot” can be read as “I don’t care”.
Also also hoot is the sound an owl makes.
My ears hurt after watching that
It’s worth noting that when Dana Terrace asked Alex Hirch to voice Hooty, on the first take, he deliberately did his worst Mickey Mouse impression to try and make her laugh… and she loved it, so that’s the voice we’ve got for Hooty.
Listened to the novel adaptation of Theatre Of War over the last few nights, that’s a pretty good one! Notable for being Benny’s first meeting with Braxiatel (but not his first time meeting her!), and also interesting because Justin Richards didn’t directly adapt his novel, he rewrote it like a fresh audio story from his original outline.
I have always liked the central idea of a play’s performance as a weapon, Sophie always impresses me with how well she can still slip into teenage Ace voice, 7 is a little more on the back foot than usual, but that makes sense because of Braxiatel’s presence, really I enjoyed this because Benny is such a great character and I particularly like the few audios we get replicating the VNA team from that era. 3.5/5
Realizing it has been about three years since I got anything from Big Finish, so I’m apparently 200 9th Doctor box sets behind lol, going to catch up with some of those next.
