User Age Poll

After some discussion about it in the BlueSky thread, I was wondering how old the userbase on here is?

I look young but act older so I often confuse people with my age haha I’m actually 27 but people have thought I’m anywhere from 22 to 32

I look a lot younger than 21. Last winter when I came home from uni I called a cab straight outta the train station, the cab driver thought I was in some sort of genius kids program to be in collage this young. And barbers usually assume that I’m still in junior high school, for the last… oh, idk, six years? :weary:

I act, feel and look (I’m told) much younger than I am too!!

I’ve been told I look 14 ever since I was that age. It’s gotten a bit better in recent years (I usually get 16 these days, or 18 if I’m lucky and happen to be in an adult-only space). I’m turning 23 next month.

I know some people check how young they look by whether or not they get carded, but I don’t buy alcohol so that’s never been an issue for me. I mostly notice when minors are trying to hit on me.

This thread is going to make me feel old…

I got my first white straw of hair when I was 16. People used to think that I was older than I am. I was not required to show ID the first time I was buying alcohol. That was a bummer, I might have been able to buy it earlier :stuck_out_tongue:

I am 36 now and think I have grown into my looks.

My brother is the same - he’s 6’4’’ and used to play rugby, so by the time he was 16 he was tall and broad enough that people never used to ID him in the pub at all

Somewhere in my early twenties, I started getting streaks of grey. Could’ve dyed it, but I decided I liked how it looked…

I have dyed it one time. Did not feel like me and I never did it again.

I was kinda worried that I’d end up not liking it if I dyed it, and that I’d have to wait for it to grow out again…

I’m starting to get the odd gray hair and I kinda want to dye it so people still assume I’m younger, but if I don’t then I can age gracefully lol.

It also helps that I’m vegan which has been shown in studies to actually reverse your biological age :tada:

When we tell people that me and my husband have been together for almost 20 years, people don’t understand how I’m old enough for that

I have a single white hair since my elementary schoolmate told me that in horror when we were lining up in P.E. They always try to help pull it out for some reason…

The story of my life :joy: we are soulmates; I’m 28 and turn 29 in March!

No white strands of hair for me yet, but I usually have a stubble, which means that I’m rarely asked to show my ID when I buy alcohol or enter bars (the general rule here is that cashiers are required to ask for ID if they believe that the customer buying alcohol/cigarrettes looks younger than 30). I’ve noticed that the stubble makes me look older, although my wife prefers me clean shaven!

Wow! The forum AI was nice enough to convert those confusing feet and inches into centimetres to inform me that your brother is about 193 cm! That’s tall, and probably a great size for rugby!
