TV Time - (but not Doctor Who)

Finished The Book of Carol and the final episode didn’t quite pan out like I expected. I still think it’s the best of the three post-main-show spinoffs though.

Now picking up where I left off with The Penguin and everyone quite rightly says how fantastic Colin Farrell is in it (and he is) but I think the series belongs to Cristin Milioti. She is something else.

I have yet to watch it because I look at my calendar, its 2024 & we have a guy in a fat suit? Just hire a size appropriate actor.

We finished Ludwig tonight and my goodness that was just absolutely brilliant! Some of the best TV I’ve seen in ages, it was gripping, it was tense, it was funny. Loved it!

I was actually really worried that it was all going to wrap up nicely at the end but now I believe there will be a second series yay!! :tada:

Watching Fresh off the Boat and trying to work out why we haven’t watched this before now - utterly hilarious!

The latest episode of Drag Race UK was amazing. La Voix’s Dad had everyone crying and was a shining example for parents anywhere and everywhere. His love and support for his son was astounding and his advocacy was inspiring.

I just remembered that I used to like the BBC series Robin Hood from 2006 and watched the first episode again. I had missed that Big Finish had done 6 audio dramas based on this show. Has anyone listened to these?

No, but I keep being tempted to buy them. Loved the show at the time.

Oooh, me too! I watched it with my dad when they aired it over here. Great series, and it introduced me to Richard Armitage, who became the definitive Guy of Gisbourne to me. So much so, that it was difficult to accept him as Thorin in the Hobbit films

That can also be because of the poor quality of the Hobbit films.

Well, I don’t necessarily agree with you on that, but that’s a totally different discussion topic

They’re okay - there just didn’t need to be three of them.
