I personally wouldn’t group characters into “white” / “non-white” categories. I’d just think that’s a bit too vague or reductionist to the individuality of each character. Or maybe I’m too ‘woke’ lol
I’ve wondered whether Suzie’s character could also have a mixed ethnicity?? Her actress is at least.

Absolutely and that’s a good point about Indira Varma. It is reductionist to group people like that and it wasn’t my intention. A clumsy question! Sorry.

The more I think about this episode, the better it becomes. I just realised another parallel between Cyberwoman and Doctor Who: Dalek.
Both episodes feature a classic, reoccurring monster, of which there is only one. Despite there only being one, it manages to kill a number of people and pass through nearly all defenses keeping it from the outside world. In the end, the thing that leads to its demise is its humanity.
I think Cyberwoman is just that bit scarier because, as Jack says:
JACK: This is how it starts.
With a bit more time, she likely would have figured out how to properly convert people and would have built a Cyber army, starting with the Torchwood team. The Dalek probably would have been able to exterminate a good chunk of the population before UNIT would blow it up, but an army of Cybermen with Torchwood confiscated alien tech would be unstoppable.

I’ve never been a fan of this one. Bad acting, bad costuming, and bad writing leads to one of the worst Whoniverse stories ever. I’ve read redemptive viewings of this episode, I’ve tried to see the good in the story, but I think that I might be watching a completely different episode to some of you.
I like Myfanwy, but that’s about it.
1/10, would not recommend.

A total “meh” of a story, leaning toward bad. Interesting idea, let down by the execution.

All I can really think to say about Cyberwoman is that I was intrigued and would have been able to take it seriously if not for the character design looking like it was straight out of PSO2 in the worst way (in my own humble opinion). By the end of the episode I was in stitches when I was probably meant to be in tears…
