One of the fun things I like to do on the site is collect stories together into Tropes.

Trope: a common or overused theme or device

I need help remembering the stories and gathering them together though so this is where you come in :smile:

Let’s start with one of the most famous Doctor Who tropes (but we can add them to spin offs as well like Sarah Jane, Class and Torchwood…): Base Under Siege!

Any story where the protagonists are defending themselves from incoming attack. Used a lot in the Classic Era.

Any I’ve missed?

Well, a couple come to mind:

  • The Power of the Daleks
  • Inferno - though there are two different dimension versions of the same base
  • Horror of Fang Rock
  • The Robots of Death
  • Warriors of the Deep

Off the top of my head:

  • The Moonbase
  • All of Season 5, barring Enemy of the World
  • Cold War

Found another one. Don’t know if you already have this, but Call to Arms, the first story of UNIT: Assembled is a BUS with Kate, Osgood, Yates and Benton in a pub under attack by Silurians.
