I didn’t realize liquorice allsort was a thing! I’ve only ever seen those in the colourful mix by Haribo but always liked them (though sadly they don’t appear to make those vegetarian here so I don’t get them anymore)
My choices:
First one that comes to mind are Starburst Jelly Beans. I get cravings. Exacerbated, I’m sure, by the fact I only find them in the grocery store around Eastertime.
After that, hmm, Jelly Babies, yeah. But again, that’s partly due to scarcity. They (almost) never appear in US grocery stores, and are so pricy when I see them. BTW, I’m only familiar with Bassett’s. Cheekies is a thing? Hmm…
And for a third…cherry sours? Or maybe just fruit sours for a little more variety.
Honey candy. Y’know, w/ the honeycomb & blue on the wrapper? Really, any soft melty candy.
Russian deli style fruit jelly, or any type really of what is called “marmalade” in my region of the world- with only linguistic relation to the sticky paddington spread stuff.
And a childhood favourite, the candy my grandmother always gave me (Fox Sweets - marmalade with taste of rowan berry. It’s also the oldeet sweet still produced in Finland.
They are very good! I ate them all the time as a kid - they’re dangerous for your teeth and blood sugar I think they are only sold in Finland, so if you ever visit, you should make sure to buy some. Or I might bring with me some the next time I come to Sweden for pasta
