Today I learned that Gareth David-Lloyd, in addition to his unforgettable role as Ianto, also voices one of my favourite characters ever - Solas from Dragon Age!
Any other Dragon Age fans here? Solas is amazing and I can’t believe I never noticed this was his voice all along!
I started playing Dragon Age because of this, actually! I love him as Solas. Also, fun fact, Indira Varma, who plays Suzie Costello (and now also a one-off character in the latest series of Doctor Who), voices Vivienne. Going further back, Eve Myles, who plays Gwen Cooper, voices Merrill in Dragon Age II. That’s a lot of overlap!
That’s all amazing to learn. I love the whole series and had no idea about that for Vivienne or Merrill, both of which are very memorable characters. It totally clicks with Merrill too, but that really shows off her range! Amazing, thanks for sharing 
I also definitely didn’t notice Vivienne at first (I learned that while looking something up on the wiki) and haven’t reached Merrill yet in my II playthrough. I’m excited to meet her, but I rarely have time to play.
Can’t believe I didn’t notice this - my other half loves Dragon Age and played it lots! And my friend is currently playing it now, I’ll ask her what she thinks of Solas!
Fun fact, he also plays Watson in a 2010 Direct to DVD Sherlock Holmes movie that has dinosaurs in it
