I’d say so. (12 character limit)
So, after reading and adoring Conundrum, I began to wonder if it usurped my previous favourite - Nightshade.
Not being able to remember it particularly well, I decided to reread it and I can confirm, it’s still a masterpiece. A harrowing, emotional, bleak masterpiece that feels like a book written just for me.
However, I think Conundrum was better. But that’s great! I have a new favourite. Doesn’t mean this isn’t still an absolute sensation.

I didn’t quite vibe with Nightshade the first time I read it, but your review was great, and I think I’ll give it a reread sometime soon. My main problem with it is the Robin and Ace romance, which is personally hard to look past, because I love Ace so much. I did think the antagonist was cool thought, and it was very creepy
Yeah, that’s what really clinched Conundrum being better for me, that subplot was baaad
Dropping in to say there’s an interesting little documentary by Reeltime Pictures about the Virgin New Adventures. It’s mostly just interviews from various writers, but still it’s cool it exists. Definitely worth a watch.
